1. Think of a thing you usually use and think why does it used that specific material.
2. The desires you want to achieve to improve the thing that you want.
The thing I frequently used everyday is a TUMBLER because I loved being hydrated. I love
the taste of 𝐻2 0 compared to soda. I am somehow a health-conscious type of individual although
not all the time just sometimes; it’s indeed my utmost reason why I chose TUMBLER…
As I scan, stare and think thoroughly on my tumbler, I realized it is made of plastic. I
believed, majority of the tumblers were primarily made of plastics because of its chemical
properties. Through the chemical properties of plastics, it makes the tumbler’s life span live
longer. Plastic tumblers are more durable and has the capacity so stay longer unlike the other
tumblers that are made of metals specifically, stainless steel. Tumblers that were made up of
stainless steel do not stay much longer compared to plastic because of the presence of carbon in
the water. Moreover, as I ponder, if it is possible to have a tumbler made wood, if ever it is
possible, it won’t still beat the durability of plastic tumbler. The life span of wood tumbler will be
more likely low, just like in tumbler made of stainless steel. Perhaps, manufacturing industries
that manufactures tumblers usually uses plastic as their primary material because they also think
of the chemical properties present in plastic so as its benefits and durability.
As a student, who is pro-water; financially challenged and has a boarding house that is
quiet far from the university I am currently studying, it is a real struggle to have a 400ml tumbler,
thus, I have countless of desires to my tumbler. First and foremost, I want my tumbler to be
bigger yet light weight and can be put inside my backpack. At least, a tumbler that has the
capacity of 1.5 liters enough to make me stay hydrated for the whole morning until 12pm. Having
this kind of tumbler will help me save money instead of buying water in the canteen. Second, a
tumbler that do not leak because it is so hassle and terrifying when it leaks because my school
supplies or important things inside my bag is at stake and will be affected. Third, I want my
tumbler to be personalized. In mobile phones, finger print and face detector were added as a
feature to make it more customized. In the same manner, I want my tumbler have a palm
detector and have an alarm that rings when other people attempt to open my tumbler. Lastly, I
want my tumbler has a touch of rubber to make it safer even if I unintentionally or other people
drop it to the floor or anywhere, it won’t crack. So far, as of the moment, the mentioned desires
above were my top most improvements that I want for my tumbler.
