Monthly Work Report

(20th JULY 2018 - 20th AUG 2018)

Following are the works carried out in General Shift in Month of JULY.

 Monitoring and analysis of health parameters of communication payloads, navigation payloads,

and TTC operations and generating inputs to be reported in Spacecraft Operations Review Team
(SORT) meetings.
 Generation of various operations directives related to spacecraft payload systems to carry out
regular as well as special operations.
 On 9th Aug 2018, OGSC-SSTP meeting was happened and 2 Study projects were allotted by
Division Head, SSTP to me:
1. High throughput to spacecraft with multi-beam antennas.
2. Sequential Tone Ranging and CDMA Ranging comparative analytical discussions.
 Attended GSAT-29 SRC Meeting.
 Attended MOCB meeting.

Following are the works carried out as part of shift operations from 1st AUGUST onwards:
(S/C Consoles: INSAT-4B, IRNSS-1A, GSAT-16, GSAT-6, GSAT-15, IRNSS-1I,
INSAT-4CR, GSAT-18)

 Thruster testing, DTG 1&2 Turn ON and NSSK Maneuver carried out for GSAT-6
(DT:117Secs)
 Station keeping Maneuver
 Carried out EWSK Maneuver IRNSS-1B (DT: 4 secs).
 Pulsing
 Carried out pulsing for ( All East,20 Pulses) GSAT-15,GSAT-6, INSAT-4B & INSAT-4CR
(All West, 13 Pulses)
 EPS Operation
 Carried out EPS South East/South West operations in GSAT-9 on 10th Aug.
 Dumping Operations
 Carried out dumping as per ops-dir in GSAT-15, INSAT-4B & GSAT-16.
 Battery Cell-Balancing & Dumping
1. Cell Balancing Operations for Battery-1 in GSAT-15, INSAT-4B, IRNSS-1I & GSAT-18.
2. Cell Balancing Operations for Battery-2 in GSAT-16, GSAT-15, INAST-4B
 3. Cell Balancing Operations for Battery-3 in INSAT-4B
 In GSAT-15 BAT# 2 & BAT# 3 SOLSTIC Charging carried out as per Ops Dir.
 During ECLIPSE Operations Battery Health parameters Monitored in IRNSS-1I & IRNSS-
1A.
 Configured, verified and Monitored Ranging operations throughout the shift on 10th Aug as per
requirement given by FDS.
 In GSAT-16 South Bat-1 & North Bat-2 Solstice Temp limits changed as per ops dir.
 As a R.E in SSTP, In GSAT-8 Variations observed in KU TWTA-9 HELIX CUR (PID # 1009)
on 7th Aug 2018 @04:30 UT onwards. TWTA Crossed P-3 value and reached P value. And
immediately reported the same to NOCC through shift manager and brought back into operating
limits.
 GSAT-15 Prime system got hung-up, Normalized as per software procedure on 4-AUG-2018.
 During general shift holidays carried out dailychecks for TTC subsystem as and when assigned.
 UPLINKING Daily CO-EFFICENT file (i.e., SV, POINT Q, YAW & SADA STEER Files) in
IRNSS-1I & IRNSS-1A & Observation of Nav CMD's in R1I & Message Signal CMD’s in
R1A.
