about food delivery apps, Swiggy vs Uber

Eats.

P1- swiggy id clearly more popular, just comparing uber eats and swiggy,
most people use swiggy.

P2- but if you compare swiggy and uber eats, uber eats have a more
database and with uber eats backed by giant uber they can afford to
provide better service with low cost & reach out to mass people.

P3- swiggy was earlier in market, uber eats came later but the backing up
with data they have a future.

P4- we do see loads of msg from uber eats about diff schemes or other , in
my opinion if swiggy has more market share it charge more restaurant
charges or other charges than uber eats . It has just entered market maybe
that is why it is offering so many discounts and schemes in comparison to
swiggy, zomato.

P6-Rn uber eats is the best option for me but downside is uber eats doesn't
have many restaurants linked to it right now.

P2- if you see from swiggy perspective, as you said uber eats doesn’t have
many restaurant with it, in case of swiggy they have wide network actually
what happened in my case i ordered something from swiggy and they
messed up my order so chances of error in swiggy are high, if you look
from a customer perspective that it took me 40 days to get my refund.

P3- I am not taking a stand swiggy rn mishaps that happen is mainly uber
eats to a restaurant, there are many vendors standing at restaurant from
diff apps, it is the responsibility of the restaurant to give the right packet to
the right person, it is responsibility of restaurant not swiggy.

P5- quality check is through the app, so they should ensure quality,
packaging is checked before reaching the customer
P4- uber eats new in the market, have advantage about pros and cons of
the market, should be able to strategize well and rise back from a set back.

P3 but swiggy is in market for a long time, startup to reach the 1 billion club
in 4 years, hence numbers show that they have better food quality, service
quality and people prefer swiggy over UBER EATS and other apps. They
have decent schemes too.

P5- swiggy has wide base of hotels and restaurants, if I prefer place and it
is on swiggy I will use swiggy.

P6- I find the swiggy app more easy to use, the UBER EATS, doesn't give
a clear picture of all restaurant, cluster the whole thing based on the food
you don't know where this food is coming from, whereas in swiggy, they
have better sortation, different tabs & filters like discounts, delivery time,
food category, filters are better in swiggy.

P4 -that is exactly why i use swiggy, nobody waits that long to understand
an app , before ordering food.

P7- swiggy have better reach, expansion for delivery, odd hours delivery,
UBER EATS does not deliver at certain places and at odd hours but swiggy
does.

P5 - swiggy only had zomato to compete in its early days, but UBER EATS
has swiggy and zomato and they will hence take years to reach that
pinnacle with customers.

P3- they need to learn from their competitors in order to increase their
market share.

P5 uber has deep pockets if it wants it can position its product rightly to
right people and at a much cheaper price than swiggy.

P9 -market strategy of swiggy is better like during world cup they had
certain schemes around it, they capitalized the adrenaline of customer
along with discounts to attract them, secondly swiggy super they are
providing, free delivery and priority delivery in rush hours.
P6- but uber is also providing such scheme during world cup they too had
offers like swiggy linked with game.

P5- initially they didn't, eventually they earned and applied, we need to wait
before the uber eats comes to the level of swiggy to compare them, rn we
should just compare them on app interface but about coupons and
schemes we should wait swiggy is in market for 4-5 years. They have a
head start.

P4- also I like to add that my experience with swiggy delivery guy was so
much better than the UBER EATS, it was late at night and he was amicable
and jovial that was not the case with the uber eats guy.

P5- and i think people associate uber with cabs, first thing that comes to
mind when I hear uber is cabs.

P6there is no exclusivity when we hear uber eats like when i hear swiggy it
is food delivery app, when i hear uber it is cab

P8- there are no different cuisines on uber too, like they are new and less
restaurants tie up. I can't find my fav cuisine on uber eats

P9- customer service is good but swiggy has better service the virtual chat
box is way better than calling and explaining everything. We don't have to
call them When finally, I call, we get down to business.
