II. Project Details

 Title of the Project : Hotel Management System

 Project Objectives:
Hotel Management System is a project which aims to develop a
web system to maintain all the daily work of Hotel. Some of objectives
are shown below:-
o Booking of different types of Hotel Room.
o Maintain the price and offers at the time of booking.
o Login for customer.
o A login for hotel admin.
o Insights of hotel.
o Overview and reviews of rooms.
o Chat, feedback & complain section for the customers for inquiry.
o Ordering of food from restaurant.
o Staff information.

 Problem Statement:
The main objective of Hotel Management System project is to give
information about hotel and facility for booking rooms. In existing
ystem or manual system, the person has to go to the hotel for booking,
inquiry etc. another method is telephone booking but customer cannot
get detailed information about the hotel on phone. Web based system
makes it easier for a person to sit at home and book room at ease.
System allows admin to maintain a database. Admin can also view and
modify the database from any time anywhere.

 Modules of the Proposed System:
This application is comprised of the following modules.
1. Admin Module.
2. Senior Manager Module.
3. Software Engineer Module.
4. Clients Module.
5. Leave Management System.
6. Project Tracker.

 Hardware and Software Requirements:

• Processor :- Intel core processor or better performance
• Operating System :- Windows Vista or later, Ubuntu
• Memory :- 1 GB Ram or more
• Hard disk space :- minimum 2 GB For database usage for future
• Database :- My SQL
• Web browser :- any freeware browser

 Development Methodology:
 Apache, the web server software.
 PHP, the general purpose scripting language that runs on
Apache.
 MySQL, the database server software that works hand-in-hand
with PHP and Apache.

 Methodology and References:

The method used for developing this project is by analyzing the
previous projects. Then try to develop and maintain current project and
its data base. After that take the project to the hotel manager of nearby
hotel to Revalidate, Reject and retain some parts of projects as per the
suggestion by customer and clients.
