Understanding of educational research is a systematic activity to find answers that approach the truth about educational
problems on the basis of rational and logical reasoning, as well as the support of empirical facts. Educational research is
generally conducted to develop, discover and test for the truth of a concept, principle, knowledge and about education in
general. For the types of educational research itself is divided into 6 sections namely: Descriptive Research This research
seeks to describe a research activity carried out on certain objects in a systematic and clear manner. Experimental Research
This research was conducted using 3 requirements, namely researchers must conduct control activities, then manipulate and
make observations. Classroom Action Research This research is a form of research on self-reflection based on what
participants have done so far in social situations (education) in order to improve their practice. Qualitative Research This
research method is often used to conduct research on the condition of natural objects. Quantitative Research This research
method is used to examine a particular sample or population. R & D Research and Development or research and
development is a powerful strategy to improve practice. It means to develop new products. Educational institutions have
several tangible functions namely · Instill the skills needed to take part in democracy · Developing the talents that each person
has for personal and community interests · Preserve culture · Reducing parental control. Through the mechanism of
education in schools, parents delegate authority and duties in educating children to the school
