SCOPE OF WORK
1. INTRODUCTION

The scope of the SUBCONTRACTOR’s work includes the supply of Passive Fire Proofing (PFP) material (Leighs
M90) and personnel to provide application of PFP to the steel framing of the SDB-PR & SDB-QU Platform at the
CONTRACTOR’s Site.

2. SCOPE

2.1 Outline Scope

SUBCONTRACTOR’s WORK comprises the supply of PFP material (Leighs M90) and application of
PFP (including mesh, pins & scrim where required) at the CONTRACTOR’s WORKSITE.

SUBCONTRACTOR shall carry out all necessary WORKSITE preparation work as required to ensure
that WORKSITE facilities are suitable for the WORK.

SUBCONTRACTOR shall be responsible for the provision of:-

- PFP material.
- hand tools & technical equipment required for the sole use of Subcontractor’s personnel throughout
execution of the Works.
- personnel, materials and consumables that are required to fulfil Subcontractor’s responsibilities under
this subcontract.
- fuel and oil that is required to carry out the Works.
- freight, travel mobilisation, airfares, travel time as necessary for Subcontractor’s Own Supplies.
- quality/Assurance documentation of work.
- transportation of Subcontractor’s personnel to and from SITE.
- accommodation of Subcontractor’s personnel in Subcontractor’s own container office
- Subcontractor’s personnel personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to:- helmet,
coverall dress, safety shoes, safety glasses gloves, respirators, visors and ear defenders.

2.2 Summary

The WORK shall be in accordance with the TECHNICAL INFORMATION and to the satisfaction of
CONTRACTOR. Omission of any details, descriptions or activities shall not be construed as limiting the
scope of the WORK. All project communications shall be in the English language and the units of
measurement shall generally be to metric standards.

The WORK shall include, but not be limited to, the following:-

 provision of all procedures required for the control of the WORK.


 the preparation and provision of WORKSITE facilities and PLANT to provide a safe and effective
application facility for the WORK.
 supply of project management, project controls systems and IT systems required to manage the
WORK, including planning, progress control/reporting, financial control/reporting, procurement,
materials management, application, assembly, certification, health, safety, security and environmental
(HSSE), document control and Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) and construction
engineering activities.
 provision of all PERSONNEL and PLANT for the safe and timely execution of the WORK.
 application of the WORK.

 design and supply of temporary aids/facilities to facilitate performance and completion of the
WORK.
 preparation and progressive compilation of application documentation, certification dossiers, as-built
details and documentation.
 QC requirements including dimensional control, material traceability.
 all required management, supervision, labour, plant, lighting (including shift work requirements),
consumables, inspection, QA, other utilities, services and all other temporary equipment and
resources required for the complete performance of the WORK.
 testing, certification and colour coding by an independent third party of any PLANT used in handling
and storage required to complete the WORK.
 preventative maintenance for all PLANT used in the performance of the WORK.
 testing and inspection of all portable and transportable electrical apparatus at intervals commensurate
with the risks involved with the PLANT usage. SUBCONTRACTOR to maintain records of all
tests/inspections. The PLANT shall be labelled to indicate their status and the date the next
test/inspection is required.
 all hand held electrically operated tools shall be rated at 110V and supplied from a centre earth
tapped transformer providing a nominal 55-0-55V supply. All tools to be fitted with “deadman”
switches.

3. ENGINEERING SERVICES

3.1 Engineering Scope

SUBCONTRACTOR shall perform any and all engineering which may be necessary in addition to that
provided in TECHNICAL INFORMATION for any element of the WORKS.

SUBCONTRACTOR shall keep and maintain all relevant standards, codes, specifications and other
documents for the WORK; these documents and updated revisions shall be kept available at the
SUBCONTRACTOR'S WORKSITE.

3.2 CONTRACTOR Drawings, Specifications and Other Technical Documents

CONTRACTOR will furnish SUBCONTRACTOR TECHNICAL INFORMATION.


SUBCONTRACTOR shall report receipt of TECHNICAL INFORMATION using an APPROVED
transmittal system. CONTRACTOR may from time to time modify, revise and/or supplement these
documents. SUBCONTRACTOR shall review the information provided by CONTRACTOR and shall
notify CONTRACTOR without delay of errors, omissions and discrepancies.

3.3 Control Of Engineering Queries

SUBCONTRACTOR shall use a CONTRACTOR provided Engineering Query Procedure.


SUBCONTRACTOR shall keep the Engineering Query Register including any queries from
SUBSUBCONTRACTORS. SUBCONTRACTOR shall review status of completion of Engineering
Queries and pro-actively expedite close-out of Engineering Queries with CONTRACTOR on a weekly
basis.

3.4 Shop Drawings And Application Procedures

CONTRACTOR will prepare and provide to SUBCONTRACTOR all shop drawings and perform
associated engineering and provide all documentation.

SUBCONTRACTOR shall prepare all testing, certification and all other procedures covering all stages and
aspects of the application WORK.

3.5 Document Control

SUBCONTRACTOR shall submit all document deliverables identified for review and APPROVAL by
CONTRACTOR as scanned documents. Copies of the documents shall be submitted by transmittal
together with electronic files which shall be uploaded into CONTRACTOR Document Management
System by CONTRACTOR.

4. MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT

4.1 SUBCONTRACTOR Provided Items

SUBCONTRACTOR shall provide all materials [including PFP material (Leighs M90), space heating
equipment (optional price), fuel (if any), compressed air, paint storage for storage of the PFP material in
Subcontractor’s own container/s)], consumables, PLANT and items required for the execution of the
WORKS except those items supplied by CONTRACTOR as CONTRACTOR PROVIDED ITEMS.

The WORK shall include Material Take Off (MTO), procurement, including sourcing, selection, expediting
and inspection activities, of all materials and PLANT necessary for the completion of the WORKS not
designated as CONTRACTOR PROVIDED ITEMS.

SUBCONTRACTOR provided materials and PLANT shall be procured in a timely manner so as to avoid
delays to the WORKS and in order to meet the SCHEDULE.

Any materials and PLANT not conforming to the SPECIFICATIONS or other CONTRACT requirements
shall be removed by SUBCONTRACTOR and replaced by acceptable material or PLANT at no cost to
CONTRACTOR. Any deviations shall be subject to APPROVAL prior to order placement.

If SUBCONTRACTOR proposes to make substitution of materials or PLANT it shall submit the proposal
including all details of the effects on certification, quality assurance, cost and weight of the proposed
substitutions or modifications. SUBCONTRACTOR shall not initiate or carry out any such substitutions or
modifications without APPROVAL.

It shall be SUBCONTRACTOR's responsibility to protect all of its furnished materials and PLANT from
any possible damage due to weather (including freezing), handling, sandblasting or any other such risk.

SUBCONTRACTOR shall ensure efficient use of all materials.

4.2 CONTRACTOR Provided Items

CONTRACTOR will provide SUBCONTRACTOR free issue at the Tekfen Azfen Fabrication Facility,
following items/services.
Such items/services shall be provided only in connection with the WORK performed at the Tekfen Azfen
Fabrication Facility.

(i) craneage and lifting, including rigging


(ii) messing facilities, and toilets
(iii) changing rooms
(iv) provision of office cleaning services
(v) lighting, temporary power, water, air, gases
(vi) secured laydown areas for equipment, materials and shipping containers
(vii) material waste disposal
(viii) first aid and medical facilities in emergency cases only

4.3 Materials And Plant Accountability

SUBCONTRACTOR shall establish and carefully maintain records showing quantities of materials and
PLANT obtained for incorporation into the WORK, in progress, remaining in stock, surplus and scrap.
These records shall be available at all times to CONTRACTOR. There shall be no requirement to provide
this documentation in any language other than English.

4.4 Materials Management

SUBCONTRACTOR shall operate a materials management system. Such material management system
shall cover all materials and PLANT required for the WORK and shall include, without limitation, supply,
expediting and delivery, receipt, inspection, unloading, safekeeping, storage, protection, maintenance, issue,
records, stock reconciliation, erection, dismantle, collect, return, transfer and disposal of surplus materials
and PLANT.

5. FACILITIES

5.1 Application Sites

SUBCONTRACTOR shall provide at each proposed application WORKSITE, covered, open and secure
storage and warehousing for safe keeping and control of the EQUIPMENT.

SUBCONTRACTOR shall provide, maintain and clean application WORKSITE, to CONTRACTOR’S


HSSE Requirements stated in Section IV.

6. APPLICATION, INSPECTION AND COMPLETION

6.1 Application Procedures

(Refer to the “technical information” sheet; BR-SBZZZZ-MT-SPE-0016)

6.2 Inspection And Testing

(Refer to the “technical information” sheet; BR-SBZZZZ-MT-SPE-0016)

SUBCONTRACTOR shall undertake and be responsible for all inspection, testing and certification of
EQUIPMENT systems in accordance with the appropriate TECHNICAL INFORMATION and
APPROVED inspection test records (ITRs).

During application activities, SUBCONTRACTOR shall carry out all inspection and testing activities to
prove and validate the correct and complete execution of the WORK without the introduction of process
fluids or connecting up to platform power supplies. These activities include, but are not limited to:-

(a) visual inspecting.

(b) complete all associated and necessary documentation.

(c) complete those checks and tests that are indicated on the check sheets as the responsibility of
SUBCONTRACTOR.

(d) provide for review a detailed procedure to be accepted for each check or test. All checks and tests to
be witnessed by CONTRACTOR.

SUBCONTRACTOR shall ensure that all PLANT used to inspect the WORK are calibrated and certified
according to the intervals and tolerances detailed within TECHNICAL INFORMATION.

7. COMPLIANCE WITH STATUTORY REGULATIONS

All WORK, including that of SUBSUBCONTRACTORS, shall comply with the requirements of the appropriate
local Azerbaijan Statutory Authorities and government departments, CONTRACTOR insurers (if applicable) and
other parties as necessary.

SUBCONTRACTOR shall provide to CONTRACTOR such licences, permits, certificates, reports, procedures,
drawings, calculations, application inspection and test records and other documents in a timely manner as necessary
to satisfy CONTRACTOR of SUBCONTRACTOR'S compliance with these requirements.

SUBCONTRACTOR PERSONNEL shall conform to working time regulations as set out by Azeri Authorities
and working hours. Normal working hours will be Monday to Friday from 08.00hrs to 18.00 and Saturday from
08.00hrs to 16.30hrs, included in both options area one (1) hour lunch break.

8. ACCEPTANCE OF THE WORKS

SUBCONTRACTOR shall carry out inspection and testing of the WORKS in accordance with QA/QC Quality
Plans, procedures and Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and CONTRACTOR requirements. On completion of
application, assembly, inspection, testing, mechanical completion, and delivery to CONTRACTOR, the WORKS
shall be deemed to be complete and, subject to the provisions of the Conditions of Contract, Clause 12 (Completion
Of Work) will be accepted by CONTRACTOR.

9. CERTIFICATION AND AS-BUILT DOSSIER

SUBCONTRACTOR shall prepare an As-built Certification Dossier (including electronic version) comprising a
set of application records and red-lined drawings and documentation that shall accurately reflect the as-built status
of the WORKS upon completion of the WORK all in accordance with "Statement of Requirements for
Engineering Handover to Operations" document number AP-CDZZZZ-IM-SOR-0001. SUBCONTRACTOR
shall develop the As-built Certification Dossier concurrent with the WORK and it shall reflect, as far as is
practicable, the stage of completion of the WORK at any time.

CONTRACTOR shall provide an "as built" drawing procedure. SUBCONTRACTOR shall prepare, manage and
control a single Master Set of "as built" drawings on which SUBCONTRACTOR shall incorporate and reference
all management of change documents. CONTRACTOR shall have access to the Master Set of drawings.

10. PROGRAMME SCHEDULE

It is currently envisaged the schedule for the construction WORK of the SUBCONTRACT is as follows:-

COMPLETION EFFECTIVE DATE + 20 months (Estimated)

Dates are indicative only and are subject to change.

11. LIAISON WITH CONTRACTOR'S OTHER SUB-CONTRACTORS

Throughout the SERVICE SUBCONTRACT, SUBCONTRACTOR shall consult with CONTRACTOR and
CONTRACTOR's other Subcontractors with the objective of ensuring full interface co-ordination of the
SERVICES.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

The TECHNICAL INFORMATION SHEET attached to the ITT Documents as a separate file shall be adhered to in the
performance of the WORK.

NOTE: Related SDB-QU Platform Drawings have not been prepared/ issued yet. Estimated quantity of Passive Fire
Protection for SDB-QU platform is around approximately 31 % of SDB-PR Platform.
