RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Research Methodology

The following are the guidelines and principles that are to be followed while
conducting the study.

Exploratory Research

The Exploratory Research is to be conducted to study their thinking about the

mobile wallets and their usage. The research would be focused on information
regarding the security issues and services used. The research will give the data of
mobile wallet usage pattern and the amount of trust individuals have on the
services of mobile wallets.

Population

The research is focused on youth population of age 15-35 years of Chandigarh

university Gharuan Punjab. The total of 300 data samples would be collected
from the respondents.

Data

There are two types of data which are being used

Secondary Data

The secondary data used in this study is collected from different sources like:

 Internet: The data used from internet sometimes have authenticity issues but if
they are collected of trusted sources then it acts like very effective source for
secondary data.
 Literature reviews: This data is collected from the published journals or articles
on the same or related topics.

Primary Data

The Primary data used in this study is collected from 300 respondents through
questionnaire survey method.

Sampling Technique
 Sampling is a process of selecting a number of individuals for a study in such a
way that individuals represents a larger group from which they are selected

There are four types of sampling technique are as following

 Random sampling
 Stratified random sampling
 Cluster sampling
 Classified sampling

The sampling technique used in the survey is Stratified Sampling. The

respondents are divided into different groups on the basis of their shared
characteristics. The groups are formed on the basis of gender. Therefore the strata
formed are:

 Female Respondents
 Male Respondents

Expected Outcomes

The study is targeted to find the presence of mobile wallet in the minds of youth
of Lovely Professional University. The expected conclusion would be like the
ranking of mobile wallet players in the market on the basis of respondent liking
and preferences, degree of trust respondents have on mobile wallets, etc.

Questionnaire

The questionnaire was designed online using Google Forms. The selection of
Google forms was due to ease of use and availability of variety of in-built
features. The link to the questionnaire:
