Education’s Importance

In life, a lot of parents think that good universities can make their children
be successful, so they ask children to “good good study and day day up”.
Nowadays, the importance of education is increasing. In the past, if you did not
receive higher education, you can survive with physical labor, but now more and
more jobs are replaced by robots. Receiving higher education is an indispensable
condition for increasing one’s core competitiveness. The higher education is
able to make people’s life better. People who with advanced education can get
more economic income,be healthier and improve well-being.
First of all, there is a huge contrast between advanced people and non-
educated people's income in employment rate and labor market preference. For
example, the higher the education attainment, the higher the employment rate.
[1]
Based on Gao Linlin Yu Xi’s report , the employment rate of master,
undergraduate, specialist is respectively 94.9%; 89.6 % and 89.4%. A good record
of formal schooling is able to help job seekers find job easily. Moreover, as
[2]
Sedlak & Sedlak observes in ' National Compensation Survey' , ‘The level of
education largely determines the position of an individual in the labor market,
and thus, the distribution of income.’ Education and qualifications held by
advanced individuals can attain professional position with no trouble, so people
with lower education has lower competitiveness than outstanding graduates in
labor market. As a result, people suffer less from economic hardship when their
educational attainment is better
On the other hand, quality of health differs in people with higher education
and non-educated people, such as life expectancy and healthy habits. To
illustrate, a report by 2010 National Center for Health Statistics shows, ‘U.S.
women age 25 in 2005 who never finished high school could expect to live another
52 years, compared to another 57.3 years for women who completed high school.
Men who never finished high school could expect to live another 46.2 years,
compared with 51.5 years for those with high school diplomas.’ Persons who get
higher degrees tend to have long life expectancy. However, that is because that
education’s benefit helps them cultivate decent healthy habits. An excellent
salary is likely to be obtained by an asset. Hence, ‘People with more education
are also more likely to be able to afford living in communities that promote
better health, particularly ones with recreational opportunities, such as parks,
and stores with healthy, affordable foods’, according to a 2011 Robert Wood
Johnson Foundation Commission to Build a Healthier America issue brief exploring
social determinants of health. It has a greater possibility for people to keep
fit when they get adequate education
Compared to non-educated people, people who receive higher education has
more well-being, because of work time and a sense of control. For instance,
[3]
research by Working Time Around the World found, ‘the average weekly working
hours of college and undergraduate students are 3-5 hours shorter than those of
high school and below. The difference is obvious.’ Furthermore, a study by China
Economic Life Survey found, ‘79.8% of the undergraduate and graduate students
possess a greater sense of control their lives while just 43.3% of people without
education background have the same sense. ’Thus, high level education can improve
people’s well-being.
life is becoming better, if you receive advanced education. It is simple for
you to acquire higher salary, keep healthy and feel happier. Have a terrible
imagination, in the future, all labor works may be replaced by robots, only
people with knowledge can live comfortably while people without education can
only become tramps.
