(2) CU of pencils and canvas Cam 2 For thousands of years, storytelling has been an
important part of our history. One essential form of

Camera 2 storytelling is art. From cave paintings to Van Gogh,

humanity has used art to express emotion and what
it means to be human. You don’t have to be a great
artist to be a great storyteller.

(1) CU of Canvas 0:32-0:52
(2) LS of Canvas and pencil Just like any great story, you need to create a world.
Your world can be whatever you want it to be. Every
story teller will need to start off with a blank canvas,
Camera 2 so they can begin creating their masterpiece. Since
watercolor pencils require the use of water, it is
important to use thicker paper, so it won’t soak
through.

When your story is ready to be created, you can grab
the hero of your story and begin sketching whatever
you desire with your watercolor pencil. My hero is
going to go on a quest to find the lost treasure in the
mountain.

(2) MS of water being sprayed Cam 1 Now that you’ve created your story, it’s time to add
the magic!
Camera 1 You can do this by using a spray bottle with a little bit
of water and spraying your world. Spray slowly and
gently, since spraying too much water too fast can
cause the colors to completely mix on the paper.
