I am in Team

A team means which I learnt, at a place or at a time when more than one person exist to share

their vision, thought, to reach at any conclusion or made some planning, execute, implement or

in action to fulfill their common desire or to achieve their target or goal which never can

succeed as an individual called team. A team which can be form by the persons to perform some

task which goal and motive is counted as whole not an individual then this group is defined as a

team. Team is an example of collectiveness, togetherness etc.

According to me I enter into team when first time I opened my eyes in this planet. From

that time I am the part of teams as a human in this world, as a citizen of our country, as a

person from any religious group, as a member of my family etc. A whole group, which I have

mentioned above, supposed to be as team, because if we consider as a human belongs into this

world then our responsibility or goal has defined if i think, execute or in action or took step for

development, success etc. then I am in the teams of good humans beings team but when my

vision, action or execution not betterment for this world then I supposed to be belongs to the

group of bad team but I have also consider these types of groups as a team because whatever

my vision, thought and action which is also common for other which belongings to this group

mean to say hence the vision, thought ,action execution are common for this groups so this have

to be consider as a teams similarly this also can be defined for as a citizen, as a person ,as a

family member and so on. These types of teams or not made by any person, places, situation or

time .We all are in the teams by default, in these types of groups you don’t get an opportunity to
decide for chosen the groups or to be decide being the part of teams or not. But in few numbers

of groups we may get an opportunity to change the teams according to change our goal or

motive .I would like to say that the persons can only made the group but the common goal,

vision, thought etc of this group defined as a teams, so goals, thought, visions are play the

crucial role to categorize the team in many ways such as those groups are formed for bad

intentions, harm to any one or thing then its called a bad teams similarly those teams goals are

for helping, progressive, generous, etc. kind of behavior and nature then its called a good teams,

similarly which motive related to finance then its called financial team etc. Few numbers of

teams also exist which I belongs, because some teams are influenced me so I am in, in few cases

I influenced teams so teams offered me to in, in few of cases my desired, vision motive etc. are

individual but when I enter in any teams this individual thinking, vision, desire etc. may be

counted as a whole. For an example I am be the part of cricket team then my motive to perform

well then others , which belongs to my team and due to that if my team have win then my

individual performance counted as a whole of our team.

I realize from my past experience that you are belongs to any team which you chosen

itself or by default your are in any team it is necessary to strengthen the team as much as

possible to achieve the desired goal, motive etc. at short period of time and probability of

success could higher. And it can possible only when we built a strong bonding between us and

it’s happen when we respect to each others emotion, feeling, and take care of mental and

physical state. We form a team to perform any task, achieve any goal or for any specific

purpose, and this team may be designed for long or short term but when the motive, purpose or

target has completed or achieved, the team reformed or may be dissolved but I experienced that
this kind of teams has no longer in real life but in virtually this kind of teams has shows their

existence always, this time these kind of virtual team not exist for any specific reason it’s exist

only just it’s because of emotion, feeling take place in our mind and heart for each other . I

mean to say that we may form any team for any specific purpose and after completion of this

purpose the motive of this team has ended but the team still exist even there is no any reason

for this existence, it’s possible just because of what time we spend each other and this memories

and feelings are forced us to be a part of this virtual team.

Few times when I was in team I realized that some negative things also showed its

existence in team due to social loafing or consisted of high diversification. Thou many of times

due to that some negative emotion and feelings dominant in our team such as egoist kind of

nature, individuality, Looking for self benefit etc., resulted team’s motivation was decreased

along individual team members, sharing of knowledge and thought was decreased among each

other, interpersonal bonds was weaken overall its affected our team motive or deviated to our

goal. Therefore it’s concluded that for high motivation, team stability, strong interpersonal

relation among team members, to fix the accountability of each member individually and

mutually etc., a team leader is essential for any team .A team leader is essential not only for

operation purpose and it’s crucial for evaluation process too. A team leader have vital role to

made strategy individually or collectively to achieve the target in the less period of time, a team

leader have also duty to monitor regularly and sharply of their team members perform

accordingly, team leader’s also have a responsibility to expel or stimulate their motivation of

any team member it they not sincere about their goals .A team leader can selected after

deciding mutually to their team members or it’s can be decided on the basis of their past
performance, experiences or based on their skill .During evaluation team leader can decided

that team is going on right direction ,what size of team has required to perform the specific

task, they can also modify the team during operation as per requirement according their task.

So we can also say that without a team leader we can’t define any group as a team.

In this modern age at the age of hyper competition the team work is prefer often over an

individual performance. Today mostly I have seen at many work places that teamwork getting

advantages over an individual resulted such as during taking some important decision at some

crucial situation during operation or execution of work many alternatives and opinion comes

out from the group members and we can get an advantage to choose a better alternatives

among following opinions and suggestion concluded the possibilities of leakage or opting

wrong decision may be less or negligible and may be possible that some unique suggestion or

opinion also comes out from this following alternatives or opinions made by group members

due to that we also get a lead in competitive advantage among rivals.

There is also have another faces regarding team work which we can’t ignore such as to

conclude a better alternatives from different types of suggestion and opinions we take long time

and in that age of hyper competition may be due to it’s a time taking process we miss some

opportunity or may be possible that team which consist of members which have belongs to

various cross functional areas resist us to reach at common decision or create confusion to

reach at any conclusion.

So finally team work policy have also two faces just like others things have, but todays

age mostly belief and prefer even also I am in the favor of team work policy and I would like to

be a part of any team.


‘Sir Henry Ford’ also quoted regarding team as:

“Coming together is a beginning,

Keeping together is a progress,

Working together is a success.” !
