I. OBJECTIVES
The learners demonstrate an understanding of the relationship among the locations of volcanoes, earthquake

B. Performance Standard The learners shall be able to demonstrate ways to ensure disaster preparedness during earthquake, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions.

II. CONTENT Plate Tectonics

C. EXPLAIN Present figure 2. “Map of Plate boundaries” and allow the students to make a model of the plate boundaries.
Review the three types of seismic waves; Primary (P-waves), Secondary (S-waves), and Long surface waves (L-waves).
Students will explain earthquake as a consequence of moving crustal plates.
