APLAYA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
Introduction
Unlike fashion clothing, which is essentially a product of the designer’s creative instincts,
the process of designing functional clothing begins and ends with the user specific
determined by the environment in which the user operates, and the activities that he or
she performs. Clothing, by its nature has a restrictive effect on body movement as well as
on transport of heat and moisture from the body. Clothing can be abrasive, noisy, smelly
or unattractive. Clothing designed specifically for certain functionalities has been shown
to cause heat stress, reduce task efficiency as well as range-of-motion1 of the wearer.
The process of design therefore begins by first establishing the many requirements of the
user. Subsequent processes are based on meeting, to the best possible extent, these user
requirements.

According to Ameya US NIFT, (2019) All the mothers faced the problem while dressing
their children with normal ready-made garments and specially with donning and doffing,
manipulating the fasteners and placket opening. Mothers expressed that the children
could express discomfort with respect of neckline, collar, sleeve type, fitting and so on.
The reason is clear that there is no segment of special garments existing in ready-made
industry that caters to the special clothing needs of cerebral palsy children. On the other
hand, the local tailors were unable to design special garments for these children. Clothing
problems of people belonging to special group may range from simple behavioural
problems to severe problems like toilet training, walking, self-dressing and so on. These
problems may be because of their disability, deformity and sometimes improper clothing,
lack of training and non-availability of suitable clothes. To overcome all these problems a
need was felt to conduct a research aimed at designing suitable and functional garments
for people having one or the other kind of physical handicap. Key words: functional

Students appropriate and give new meanings to the cultural flows they use to frame their
identities, informed by the local context and by globalisation. Several aspects of these
practices are of interest, notably the way in which American hip-hop interpellates
globalisation and framing their identity formations and engagement with race. The
identity formations therefore requires the recognition of the interactions and negotiations

In the study the researchers used interview methods,a purposeful face to face
relationship between persons;one is called as the interview who ask question to gather
information and interviewer of the respondents who supplies information as the
researcher prepared question as a guide for the interview. The respondents must answer
all the question provided in the survey questionaire.
The respondents were selected based on the availablity of the students that meet a
criteria for being a respondents of the study. The researchers selected respondents from
senior high school Technical Vocational Student of Aplaya National High School.
The data for this research were collected using survey questionnaire. The
questionnaire was composed of questions related on gathering data the advantages and
challenges of taking Technical Vocational Strand in Senior high.
First, a letter of request to conduct a survey from those selected students. Next,
using random sampling, researchers set a total number of respondents to answer the
survey. The reseachers scheduled a date depending on the respondent's availability. Then,
a brief orientation to every respondent was made by the researchers and few instructions
about answering the questionnaires are be given . After the questionnaire were distribued,

Introduction
Fashion was a decade of glamour, fashion and fashion accessories. In this decade
fashion accessories dominated the fashion world. Every outfit was planned to the last
detail. A woman wasn’t considered well dressed unless she accessorized head to toe. One
of the most popular piece considered as an accessory back in the 1950s is the pointed pre-
formed conically stitched bra. The bra was an important piece of accessory back then, as
without it the “sweater girl” look will not be complete.Another unexpected accessory of
the 50s is the spectacle with the enormous wings that can be studded with rhinestones.
More over, girls in the 1950s wore popper beads as an accessory.Back in the 50s, you

never left the house without a hat. Hats added the final touch of glamour. Pillbox was the
most popular hat in the fifties, and it usually had veiling attached. In the mid of this
decade hats were of a bomb like shapes covered with floral petals. Other hat style
included a neat beret. As for men, 1950s men were rarely seen out without a hat sitting
upon their head. The most popular hat for men , was the fedora.Another fashion
accessory of the 1950s were the gloves. Women of the 50s wore gloves everywhere. A
woman seen back in the 50s without gloves was seen as not properly dressed. Gloves in
this decade came in many lengths and a variety of colors and they were made of
cottons.Handbags were designed with attractive patters, designs, clasps and handles.
Many of the bags in this decade were designed for practicality, with a side pockets or
rings attached that could hold a woman’s glove. The material from which the bags were
made from ranged from leather tapestry, embroidery, and suede to straw, Bakelite, and
heavily beaded designs.
