A Credits Equivalence Committe is being constituted in the CSE department to look into the cases of
students migrated from other universities to ensure the mapping and matching of subjects and credits.
The committee will have the following members :

MoM of the first meeting of Credits Equivalence Committee on 17th July 2019

The following members were present

The committee was apprised of the credit/subject dissimilarities of the 5th Sem students of IT Branch
migrated from Graphic Era Hill University. The following dissimilarities were identified, which
necessitated the attention of the committee:

 The 5th Sem IT scheme of GEU includes 3 subjects , Software Engg., Data Base Management
Systems , and Java Programming Language; which the GEHU IT students have already studied in
their 3rd and 4th semester.
 The 6th Sem IT scheme of GEU has one subject, Computer N/w 1 which the GEU IT students
have already studied in their 4th Sem as Computer N/w.
 The 3rd Sem IT Scheme of GEU has two subjects : Intro to Web Tech , and Fundamentals of
Cloud Computing and Big Data; which the GEHU IT students have not studied.
 The 4th Sem IT Scheme of GEU has two subjects : Python Programming , and CBNST; which the
GEHU IT students have not studied.

In order to map and match the credits for the migrated students and to ensure that they acquire the
necessary skills and knowledge the following suggestions were put forward :

 The 5th Sem GEHU IT migrated students will study 2 subjects : Design and analysis of Algos., and
Operating systems along with 5th Sem IT students of GEU
 The 5th Sem GEHU IT migrated students will study 2 subjects : : Intro to Web Tech , and
Fundamentals of Cloud Computing and Big Data along with 3rd Sem IT students of GEU
 The 5th Sem GEHU IT migrated students will study one subject : Python Programming along
with 3rd Sem CS -CC students of GEU
 The GEHU IT migrated students, in their 6th Sem will study one subject CBNST along with 4th
Sem IT students of GEU

This will ensure that the GEHU migrated students complete all the necessary subjects and no subject is
repeated.

This would require a change in the time table of IT 3rd Sem, IT 5th Sem and CS-CC 3rd Sem.

The GEHU IT 3rd Sem Migrated students have no issues as they will continue with the GEU IT scheme
from 3rd Sem onwards. Als, for 7th and 8th Sem the 5th Sem GEHU IT migrated students will follow the
GEU IT Scheme.
