STAGE TWO - TRAINING + EXAMS
You’ll be invited for a three day training program where our sommeliers and
masters will introduce the words of discerning elixirs to you. Sharpen your
tasting and service skills. Clear a written and a blind-tasting examination
and come a step closer to the national finals.

Examination
Top performers at the theory examination will go through a round of
service and oral examination. They will be judged by the Wi- Not
sommeliers and distilled to the top few candidates each from each city.

After a gap for self-study, the finalists will make their way to Delhi NCR and
will compete for the top spot. The final hurdle will be a secretive
examination before a respected international jury.

*Non-attendance to the training will lead to disqualification.

STAGE THREE - GRAND FINALS
Stage is set and the spotlight is on you. You’ll be put live in front of the
audiences packed with industry gurus, winemakers, tasters, and the
media. The most crucial 12 minutes of your life will test your skills on:

• Opening and serving a bottle of wine

• Properly decanting an old bottle of wine
• Swift sparkling wine service
• Tasting and decoding the wines
• Food and Wine pairing exercise
• Wine and Food pairing exercise
• Beer opening and service
• Beer tasting and appreciation
• Cocktail tasting and appreciation
• Open questions from the judges

Gala Dinner
The hard work is over, and you’ve earned the rights to be pampered and
celebrated. The Indian Sommelier Championship team will host a Gala
Dinner to celebrate your journey, passion, and success with the industry
leaders, General Managers, relevant media, foreign dignitaries, and selected
wine aficionados. So share your stories with our guests who will be all ears to
learn about your rigorous trainings, late-night studying, and gallant efforts.

Category awards will be announced and presented during the dinner. The
winners will be announced and awarded in the presence of these discerning
guests at the end of the dinner with a celebration to follow...
