Magnus Tingshagen was attracted to horses right from the very beginning; as a 4 year old his
parents let him start at a riding school were he learned the basics. Growing up, he started compe-
ting with ponies in dressage and show jumping, then later on in High Level Dressage on Swedish
Warmbloods. ”There was no way back once I got connected with horses, the choice was so natural for me.
My parents, although not interested in horses at all, was so supportive from the moment I made my decision”.

When in his early twenties, a good friend convinced Magnus to show some of her Arabian horses,
and though at first quite sceptic to the Arabian horse show world, Magnus was soon hooked and
embarked on a totally different journey, completely taken by the beauty and quality of the Arabian
horse. He quickly gained attention from other breeders and got several high quality horses to show.

Never one to rest on his laurels, Magnus made some repeat travels to the US where he worked and
gained knowledge, ”I was fascinated with the Arabian horse and I wanted to see and learn as much as I pos-
sibly could” Magnus says. This fascination still holds him today, as an internationally acknowledged
handler, having gathered numerous International and National titles for his clients. Some of these
clients, like Tara Arabians and Gwiazda Arabians, have been with him from the start. Tara Arabi-
ans bred the outstanding mare CHAQUIRA (Kubinec - Lekiliza/Lekier). This snow white mare,
with MT on the lead, has been named Swedish National Champion Mare and Nordic Cup Cham-
pion Mare. Gwiazda Arabians lately produced the great colt BERNHARD (Rohara Bacara - Tosca/TC
Kashmir) who is now making a name for himself as he is winning National and International Cham-
pion titles. Bernhard is a young sire who has already attracted a lot of interest from other breeders.

during 2009 and 2010. In 2010
she won the Silver Medal for
Western Pleasure in the ECA-
HO European Championships
with her 15 years old gelding

is also a DPL horse-masseuse
which is very helpful in MTT’s

”We try to ride as many of the show horses as possible. It is a great way of getting horses in shape, both physically
and mentally.” they both say. ”Young horses are getting long trail walks in the lush forests that surround MTT.
Over the years we have developed a training program that allows the horses to have as much of a natural life as pos-
sible. They are getting a lot of pasture time each day and it is important that they are not kept separated from other
horses. Every horse gets an individual training program that is based much upon the owners’ requests and wishes.
It is our goal to treat each horse that comes here as where he or she the next World Champion.” Both Magnus and
Janicke emphasize the importance of good and fair leadership, horsemanship and a pleased and deligh-
ted horse that develops continuously. The MT Training Center is situated in the very south of Sweden,
by the breathtaking National Park of Fyledalen, giving the MTT horses and riders the opportunity for
many hours of pleasant trail-rides. A lot of conditioning for every horse is done in this beautiful setting.

 N aples Arabians have had some great times with MTT and Magnus has also been instrumen-
tal in helping them building their highly successful program, advising them in their choice of hor-
ses. Their stallion ROHARA BACARA (Padrons Psyche - Sidia/Sidi Brahim) is one of Magnus´ and
Janicke’s favourites, and together Magnus and Rohara Bacara have swept the show arenas, sho-
wing off this beautiful stallion’s outstanding movements, mostly being awarded an incredible
score of all 20s! Rohara Bacara has been titled unanimous Swedish National Gold Champion Stal-
lion (twice!), Gold Champion Stallion at the Vilhelmsborg International Show and he was 2:nd
in Aachen after Marwan Al Shaqab. ”It has been my great privilege to lead Rohara Bacara to his wins”,
says Magnus. ”A wonderful stallion, always honest and willing, such a character: a true friend of mine”.

Thanks to Rohara Bacara’s exceptional achievements With Magnus on the lead Rohara Bacara never ever lets
we were invited to Dubai International Arabian Horse us down –20-20-20-20-20– on movements on almost
Championships 2008. As always, his movements im- every show!
pressed the judges and in extremely keen competition
he scored the highest points on movements of all horses
in the whole show, about 150 horses from all over the
world.

MT Training Center has shown two Naples´ mares to the title of Swedish National Champion Mare. RO-
HARA REBECCA (Magnum Psyche - Somewhere Mi Love/Padron) came from the US to MTT as a wean-
ling. She is, among other titles, Scandinavian Open Champion Filly, 2009 Swedish National Gold Cham-
pion Mare (by unanimous decision) and in July of 2010 Magnus showed her to Middlefart International
Gold Champion Mare and High Point Horse of the Show. Magnus fondly describes Rohara Rebecca: “From
the very first moment I saw this amazing mare I knew that she was born to be a star. To me she is a once-in-a-lifetime-
horse.” The other Naples-mare is the bay Baske Afire-daughter ROHARA BASK MELODY (Bask Afire-
Louisiana/Cajun Prince) who won the title of Swedish National Gold Champion Mare in 2008. Rohara
Bask Melody produced an elegant chestnut filly in 2009 by Rohara Bacara, NAPLES BELITZE (Rohara
Bacara-Rohara Bask Melody/Bask Afire). This spectacular high trotting yearling has already gathered a
number of championships and has just been crowned Swedish National Gold Champion Filly in 2010. Her
successes for Naples Arabians create great hopes for their future accomplishments in the breeding barn.

Magnus and his beloved Rohara Rebecca has gathered many victories
for Naples Arabians.

One of our most memorable moments with Rohara Bacara is when he be-
came Gold Champion at Vilhelmsborg International A-Show in Denmark
2007.
”Magnus is not only a horse-whisperer, he is also good with
people. We at Naples Arabians have known Magnus for many
years, but our joint venture with Arabian horses started in
2004 during a trip to Florida, USA. Thanks to Magnus´ pro-
fessional experience and valuable influence, we returned to
Sweden with two horses of our dreams: Rohara Rebecca and
Rohara Bacara: together these three individuals was the foun-
dation of the Naples Arabians and success. Now six years and
several International and National Champions later, we have
created a strong, trustful and emotional bond with Magnus
who has built more than just a client/deliverer relationship.
We are certain that our cooperation with Magnus and MTT
as trainer and adviser will generate future successes and new
little superstars at Naples Arabians. Best Wishes from the

With Magnus on the lead Rohara Rebecca has always fulfilled everybody’s
expectations conquering several National and International titles. In the Class
A Show in Middlefart Denmark 2010 she reached the highest title being crow-
ned Senior Champion Mare and Highest Scoring Horse of the Show.

Belitze. She has achieved the title Filly Gold
Champion by unanimous decision twice al-
ready!

broodmare.

Shakira’s results from 2009 could barely be more outstan-

ding. With Magnus on her side she gave everything and ac-
complished enormously. One of the highlights in 2009 was
when she conquered the 1:st place in her class at prestigious
All Nations Cup in Aachen.
 A t MTT they keep very few horses for themselves, as it is of importance that focus is placed on their
clients´ horses, rather then on their own. An important aspect of MTT is the breeding program, where
Magnus and Janicke often help their clients to choose the stallions best suited for their mares. Some
of these choices has resulted in the before mentioned, lovely CHAQUIRA (Kubinec - Lekiliza/Lekier).
”She has been a delight to show. She is a willing and honest show horse with an abundance of type and charisma! A
true companion, always happy in the show ring and showing off!” Another proven success is the outstanding
2010 filly SHAMANJA (Ajman Moniscione - Rohara Shaklana/Magnum Psyche) bred by Tara Arabi-
ans, who was recently named Foal Champion at the Scandinavian Open Championships. Shamanja is
now owned by Mrs Christina & Mr J-P Kragh-Guerlain of France.

Magnus encourages his clients to take new steps and directions in their bree-
ding programs. One of his clients is Bandsjön Arabians, a small, family-operated
farm in the very north of Sweden. They started out with a pure Polish program,
producing some first class horses. In 2009, the grey colt JAMBOREE (WH Jus-
tice- Salalah/El Ahhim Shah) arrived to MTT from his breeder Countess Le-
wenhaupt (breeder of World Reserve Champion Crusader). Jamboree was put
in show training and Magnus immediately felt that this colt was special. ”He has
such incredible type and overall quality. I got on the phone to Mrs Marie Nordlander
of Bandsjöns Araber and convinced her that this colt was THE horse for her.” Happily
Marie agreed, and that same summer Magnus lead Jamboree to Swedish Natio-
nal Gold Champion Colt for his new owner. ”I am so happy for Bandsjön. I really
feel that Jamboree is going to be a great addition to their program, and I am thrilled that
such a high quality colt will stay in Sweden.” Magnus says.

MTT is always standing a select number of stallions at stud. This year the stallion SF VERIFY (Marwan
Al Shaqab - Veronica GA/Versace) is back at MTT where he spent a successful season as a junior stal-
lion, after arriving from the US. Recently named Danish National Gold Champion Stallion, he is now
being prepared for the All Nations Cup in Aachen. A handsome 2010 colt by SF Verify was born at MTT,
named MT TIGER (out of Tosca by TC Kashmir). He is already sold to Norway. ”We really like the Mar-
wan Al Shaqab/Versace-cross. SF Verify has already shown that he produces as well as his outstanding pedigree
promised. He is a very handsome stallion, totally in his sire’s image”. This year the MTT mare CINNERARIA
(Garanti - Castania/Preference) is being bred to SF Verify for a 2011 foal.

Part from his busy training schedule, Magnus was also for several years one of the driving forces behind
the popular Bollerup Swedish Cup Show. ”As a member of the show committee, I learned to appreciate the
hard work and involvement it requires to create a really great show.” Today, Magnus is holding a number of
clinics every year, both in Sweden and abroad. ”Teaching the basics for show training and preparations for
the shows, I also try to encourage horse owners to show their own horses, it is one of my main goals. I keep a close
contact with my students, trying to be helpful for them even as they keep working on their own.”

For the past five years of operation at its current location, MTT has shown some 80 International Cham-
pions and more than 20 National Champions. To that comes a large number of Best In Show-wins. ”Of
course we totally rely on our team, of whom we are very proud of and grateful to” says Magnus and Janicke.
”We have had a close working relationship for several years with among others our Ferrier, veterinary and even
our truck driver who safely delivers our horses to the shows. We are all working towards our mutual goal of first
class service for our customers and their beloved horses”.
T hrough the years Magnus and Janicke have had some wonderful moments with horses, e. g.: Says
Magnus ”I especially remember showing the exuberant grey stallion GIRLAN BEY to his Swedish National Gold
Champion Stallion title for his owners, OKS Araber. It was a thrill to be on the end of the lead of such a fantastic
show horse! Still gives me goose bumps!” GIRLAN BEY (Pesal – Gracja-Bis/Monogramm) has since left
Sweden on lease to Saudi Arabia where he has continued to collect a number of International titles. GM
MARWAN AL SHAKIRA (Marwan Al Shaqab – Octavia of Rohan/AA Manhattan) from Naples Ara-
bians has also made some memorable moments with MTT: in 2009 she was Scandinavian Open Gold
Champion Filly, Frankfurt International Bronze Champion, Nordic Cup Champion Filly and then she
topped of that season to win her class at the All Nations Cup in Aachen. ”A handlers dream”, Magnus
says, ”She is one of those horses that rarely ever leave you without a title! I love her feminine beauty and expres-
sion. She always creates a lot of appreciation from everyone who sees her.”

For several years Magnus has travelled to the US in search of suitable

horses for his clients and after seeing many horses and many places he
eventually ended up at the renowned Rohara Arabians, where most of his
clients have found their new stars. ”Roxann Hart is an honest and straight
forward business woman”, Magnus says, ”and I admire her great skills and
intuition when it comes to breeding fantastic horses. Her horses have a very good
reputation both here in Europe and the rest of the world”.

Magnus and exported to Sweden”.
At the Swedish Championships 2008 Girlan Bey scored
The Highest Points of the Show and was titled Gold
Champion Stallion by unanimous decision. “He is such
a beautiful and elegant stallion with excellent confirmation
and movements and a true Polish type” says Magnus and
Janicke.

The young mare MT PRADA (Rohara Bacara - Pomperipozza/Jazz) is a second generation of MTT-
breeding and an International Gold Champion & High Point of the Show Winner. She was sold as a
weanling but is currently back on lease. MT Prada is in foal to Da Vinci FM (Versace - Full Moon Astar)
for 2011. A number of MT clients have also bred their mares to Da Vinci FM and the results are impa-
tiently awaited.

ROHARA EXOTICA (Da Vinci FM – Special Treat/Marwan Al

Shaqab) is the newest jewel in the Naples collection and another ex-
ample of the kind of quality that can be found at Rohara. On one of
his trips to the US, Magnus saw an absolutely gorgeous filly by up-
coming super-sire Da Vinci FM. ”She totally blew me away with her out-
standing Arabian spirit!” Not before long, Magnus had made a deal on
the filly for Naples Arabians. Rohara Exotica has made a great start in
the show ring; in her first show in 2010 she was Norwegian Interna-
tional Gold Champion Filly. ”A short headed, dark bay filly of tremendous
type and class, she should be a super future broodmare for Naples, besides
from picking up her share of Champion-titles” Magnus emphasizes.

– Petrushba/Kubinec) and Magnus ob-
tained several titels during 2009. Pictu-

What is in the future for MTT?

”Hopefully more of this life we have going!” Magnus and Ja-
nicke express. ”We want to be part of a process that conti-
nuously develops in interaction with horses, clients and other
decisive actors, always impressed by pleasure and good hor-
semanship. Essential is contented horses and clients. To have
these wonderful Arabians in our lives and to have fun in the Our tremendously
