Hello and good day!

I am XYSTI C. MONCADA, a graduate of Cebu Technological University, Tuburan

Campus with the degree in Bachelor of Arts in English, Major in Applied Linguistics. I was so
excited to hear about this big opportunity because I believe that my experiences during my
practice teaching helped me mold myself to impart new knowledge, strategize new and
innovative ways to deliver the topic, overnight making of lesson plans, building good rapport
with my students and eventually giving them life lessons to become the best version of their
selves in the future.
While studying there, I also became part of the Polytechnic Bulletin, the official school
publication of the university in which I serve as the Editor-in-Chief for one complete term. As an
Editor-in-Chief, I valued the importance of working together as a team, being flexible in
different situations and being able to maintain the attitude of being graceful despite of all the
pressures.

I learned how to effectively work with different people with different personalities. I also
learned how it is to work with less supervision which is very much important in the actual field.
The combination of working in the publication while studying broadens my horizon as to how
the real world works. To value team work, flexibility, working under pressure and has initiative
are for me the number one characteristic that a teacher should possess. With these, I can say that
I now have the wide breadth of experience of the type that gives potential employers the
flexibility to place me in a broad range of demanding situations, with the confidence that I will
undertake my duties professionally and effectively. Moreover, I was awarded as the Writer of the
Year last April 12, 2018 which manifested my willingness in my capabilities to lead and my
passion for writing.

As a Linguist, I am confident that I can make substantial contribution to the Vision,

Mission, Goals and Objectives of your institution. I work well under pressure, am reliable and
can carry out task in a thorough and precise manner. Some of the key strengths that I can offer to
you include:
• Excellent communication skills towards students and co-teachers;
• Can identify and implement strategies to meet objectives and goals of the lessons
• Driven and determined to exceed set targets.
