COURSE SYLLABUS FOR

BIOSTATISTICS FOR APPLIED HEALTH RESEARCH

COURSE CODE: STAT 301

COURSE TITLE: Biostatistics for Applied Health Research

COURSE CREDIT: 3 Units (Lecture)

CO-REQUISITE: Mathematics in the real world

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The course will discuss fundamental concepts of statistics as applied to health care research.
The course will likewise introduce different statistical methods such as descriptive statistics
and inferential statistics. Special focus will be on the principles of epidemiology and its
implications as to health care practice and health research.
