INTRODUCTION

Welcome to this nursing subject : English in Nursing Science II. This subject

covers basic concept of nursing science, the concepts of basic human’s need, and the

practise to fulfill human’s needed.

It will also discuss some concept of basic nursing knowledges. The Practice role of

nurse as a care giver in health institution are also addressed in this subject.

Moreover, this subject will also discuss Nursing Care Plan based on case in smallest

group in class respectively to each special characteristic and uniqueness in the scope

of nursing practice.

This subject is divided into 2 credit points ; 1 points for theory and 1 point for

practise. We hope that you enjoy the content, learning activities and assessment

tasks in this subject as well as the benefits of actively participating in your own

learning.

SUBJECT AIMS AND OBJECTIVE

Successful completion of this subject will enable the student to :

1. Understand the concepts of Basic Human’s Need

2. Understand the practice role of community role in Indonesia

3. Providing nursing care for client in hospital

4. Apply knowledge of Basic Human resources to nursing practice

ATTENDANCE

This is three (3) hours per week subject which is divided as follows:

1 HOURS LECTURES and TUTORIALS

2 HOURS ENQUIRY SESSIONS (Practise)

It is expected that students will attend all lecture and tutorials. In event of a

missed session, it is the students’ responsibility to make appropriate

arrangements with their tutor to make up missed session/s. These session will

be in the students’ time. Work must be completed and accepted by the tutor

prior to the end of the semester.

NB:-POOR ATTENDANCE WILL RESULT IN FAILURE OF THE SUBJECT

PLAGIARISM POLICY

All assignments that given by lecturer team will doing by all students

base on source, minimal 2 teextbooks as references. In final report the papers

will be in student’s own words, there is no same paper between some students,

when lecturer found same paper betwen some students or same paper with

source from internet access, their mark will be 0. Students can adopte from

internet access, but when students copying to the paper the mark will be 0.

To evaluate the materials that already given by all lecturers team, we will
prodive final examination on last session in this even semester. The material
start from begining up the end of class session and laboratory session.

All lecturer team willl give you some assignments to built up your
information about nursing knowledge basicly. All papers will sent to lecturer
team on time. For student who not sent papers in time the mark will get 0.

To evaluate 1 credit point of practise, we need you to perform the
laboratory activies already given by all lecturer staff. You will demonstrate it in
Nursing Laboratory one by one. We will focus on your communication technic, and
also the practise technic.
