Central valve, description

The central valve distributes pressure and flow out to the steering, brakes, servo and working hydraulics. The central valve is
positioned on the inside of the rear frame on the right side under the cab. The brake pressure, steering pressure and servo pressure
can be adjusted on the central valve.
Components fitted on the central valve:
– Check point for servo pressure, port PR
– Pressure-reducing valve
– Brake charging valve, MA57

Central valve, component parts

see fig Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 .
1. Priority valve.Gives priority to the steering before the brakes, servo and working hydraulics. This is achieved by arranging for
LS-pressure from the steering valve to act on the back of the priority valve together with the spring.
2. Pilot-controlled pressure-reducing spool for steering. Closes the flow to the steering valve at max. steering pressure.
3. Pilot valve for max. steering pressure.
4. Pressure-reducing spool for servo pressure.
5. Non-return valve. Prevents the servo pressure from dropping, if the pump pressure should drop for a short moment. This may
occur if several functions are operated at the same time.
6. Pressure-reducing spool for max. brake pressure.
7. Non-return valve maintains the brake pressure in the brake circuit and in the circuit for the attachment locking while the
hydraulic pump is unloaded.
8.
Brake charging valve MA57 is supplied from the brake charging sensor SE82 or at the starting of the engine (ignition switch in
position 3). When MA57 is activated, the LS-signal is interrupted. The max. pump pressure for brake charging is reduced with
the aid of the pressure-reducing valve to 165 bar (2393 psi). This safeguards brake charging with the engine running at low
idling. Without reduction of the LS-signal, when charging the brake pressure, the pump pressure would rise to a level
determined by the pressure regulator, or 260 bar (3771 psi). 260 bar (3771 psi) and a large flow may cause the engine to stop
while running at low idling, because of the power requirement.
9. Pressure-reducing valve. Reduces the LS-pressure up to MA57.
10. Shuttle valves. Always select the highest LS-pressure and direct it to the flow compensator of the hydraulic pump.
