beginning of each round so as not to lose your place!
When stuffing your body parts, loosely start stuffing during the decrease rows and then stuff firmly
before crocheting the last row.

Body
This is the most difficult part to crochet. The yarn is fluffy and the previous stitches are not well
visible. I use a thick fluffy yarn. The pattern is written for this thick yarn. However, if you use a
thinner yarn, you have to crochet some extra rounds after round 5. In each extra round, you have
to increase. For row 6, this wil become [4 sc, inc] repeated for the whole round, for row 7 this wil
become [ 5sc, inc] repeated for the whole round, etcetera. The most important thing is that the
shape of the body should look like a pear.
Start with the fluffy yarn and a 2.0 mm crochet hook. Make a magic circle.

1 6 sc in the magic loop (6)

2 Increase all around (12)
3 [sc, inc] repeat 6 times (18)
4 [2 sc, inc] repeat 6 times (24)
5 [3 sc, inc] repeat 6 times (30)
6 Sc around (30)
Start fil ing the body
7 Sc2tog for the whole round. For this fluffy yarn, it is better to just skip a stitch instead of
sc2tog.

Fasten off and weave in the ends. Below you can see the size of the body relative to the size of
the head.

Legs (make 4)
Start with the beige yarn and a 1.5 mm crochet hook. Make a magic circle

1 6 sc in the magic loop (6)

2 Increase all around (12)
3 [sc, inc] repeat 6 times (18)

4 Sc all around only in the backloops! (18)

5-6 Sc all around (18)
7 [Sc2tog, sc] repeat 6 times (12)
8 Sc all around (12)

The next rounds wil be in alternating colors: purple, yellow, green and white. So, start the next
round with purple yarn.

9-17 Sc all around (12)

Fil the leg.
18 Crochet with the fluffy white yarn. Sc all around. However, make less than 12 stitches,
because the yarn is thicker.
19 Sc2tog all around.

Assembling all the parts
Now that all the parts are finished, you can start assembling the sheep. First sew on the muzzle. I
advise you to do it before sewing the head to the body, so that you can hide the tails.
Now sew on the ears and add the eyes. After that, you can sew on the head to the body. You
can do this with regular thread, because it is too difficult to do this with the fluffy yarn. Finally, sew
on the legs. Experiment with their position so that the sheep can sit and doesn’t fall on its side.
