 Chevrolet came to India in 1928.
 General Motors was the first automobile
company to open an assembly plant in India.
 Vehicle Production started in 1928 with
the National series AB touring.
 In 1952-53 the ‘socialist’ Indian Government
forced General Motors India to shut business,
along with other foreign car companies.
 The company was established in 1911, and the
bowtie logo first appeared in 1914.
 the bowtie shape was inspired by a pattern of
wallpaper in a Paris hotel room. William
Durant detached a small piece and kept it in his
wallet, waiting for the day he’d put it to use.

 since then, become an advertising icon, and is


still the marquee of today's Chevrolet.
 CSIPL currently has 204 dealerships and 191
service centers in 178 cities across India which
will be increased to 250 by 2010.
 Sales performance : In the year 2009 (January
to December), Chevrolet Sales India Private
Limited sold 69,583 vehicles against 65,702
vehicles sold during the year 2008 (January to
December) and reported an increase of 5.91%
in sales.
 However in 2003 Chevrolet Sales India Private
Limited was established and the Chevrolet
brand was re-launched in India.
 It replaced Opel as the only brand offering by
General Motors India private limited.
 We selected Saif and Rani as our brand
ambassadors for the Aveo as they not only connect
emotionally with the audience today, but also
embody the two dimensions of performance and
aesthetics, and substance and style plus class and
exuberance.
