A. General Objective:
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
o Use modals of obligation in a sentence correctly;
B. Specific Objectives:
o Determine the use of modals of obligation in a sentence;
o Construct sentences using modals of obligation; and
o Value the importance of performing one's obligation with integrity.

Review: Active and Passive Voice of the Verb
Lesson Presentation
o Observe the following pictures.
o Are you familiar with these pictures? What are these?
o What are the duties and responsibilities of each profession?

B. Analysis
A student's life can be very busy. Many students have to work as well as study. You may feel
stress sometimes. However, you have to stay focused. You should plan enough time for
studying. On the other hand, you must stay healthy. Therefore, you ought to get enough sleep,
too.

o Did you understand the passage? What is it all about?


o As a student, is it difficult for you to study? Why?
o Based on the passage, what do you need to do?
o What do the words in bold face do in the passage?
o What do they express?
