A LESSON IN TLE - 10 (COOKERY) IN PERFORMING PREPARING EGG DISHES USING


DEMONSTRATION INSTRUCTION

Content Standard: The learners demonstrate an understanding preparing and cooking egg
dishes in cookery.

Performance Standard: The learners independently prepare and cook eggs dishes in
cookery

I. Objectives: At the end of a one-hour lesson, students are expected to:


1. prepare and cook egg dish – poached egg;
2. plate and garnish the poached egg; and
3. value the importance of having a knowledge and skills in preparing, plating and
garnishing dishes.

II. CONTENT:
1. Suggested recipe/dish – Egg Benedict (Poached egg)
2. Factors for consideration in presenting egg dishes:
 Plating
 Garnishing
3. Evaluation of the finished product using rubrics
* Rating the finished product using rubrics

III. LEARNING RESOURCES:


Learning Module in Cookery pp. 84 - 87
CG in Cookery pp. 17 & 18

Other Learning Resources:


Computer, speaker, actual kitchen tools, utensils and equipment, actual
ingredients in preparing, cooking and presenting the egg dish.

IV. PROCEDURE:
A. Routinary Activities:
Greetings
Prayer
Checking of attendance
Classroom Management:
Let the students check under their chairs, tables if there are pieces of papers around
then pick it up and throw them in the trash can, then, arrange your chairs before
sitting down and sit properly.

B. Before the Lesson


1. Review the previous lesson / activity
2. Motivation – Presenting Egg dishes
3. Presentation of the activity

C. Lesson proper
1. Development of the activity:
Presenting video clip on cooking poached egg. ( Egg Benedict)

Return demo – cooking poached egg, preparing Hollandaise sauce, plating and
garnishing
2. Application:
Let the students do their own poached egg, sauce, plating and garnishing the egg
dish.
3. Generalization:
In order that dishes prepared will be appreciated, appetizing and fun to consumed,
plating and garnishing is very much important to be observed and practiced.

Producing Relevant EPP Teachers with Quality Skills in Teaching Home Economics

Content Standard: The learners demonstrate an understanding constructing a pajama.

Performance Standard: The learners independently construct a pajama.

I. Objectives: At the end of a one-hour lesson, students are expected to:


1. prepare the cloth for cutting the pajama ;
2. follow the procedures in constructing / assembling the pajama properly;
3. value the importance of having a knowledge and skills in sewing a pajama of
their own and for family use.

II . CONTENT:
Constructing a Pajama

III. LEARNING RESOURCES:

Power point in sewing the different seam finishes.

Other Learning Resources:


Computer, actual sewing tools and materials.

IV. PROCEDURE:

A. Routinary Activities:

b. Join the inner leg seam
c. Sew the crotch
d. Sewing the hem of the bottom
e. Work on the garter casing
f. Put the garter

D. Application:
Let the students construct their own pajama following the proper procedures with a
close supervision and guidance of the teacher.

E. Generalization:
Having a knowledge and skills in sewing is very important to every individual
especially simple articles like pajamas rather than buying.
