Task  3:  Malaria

This  task  is  12.25  minutes  long.  
 
Procedure  
• In  this  recording  you  will  hear  a  talk  on  malaria.  
• Play  the  talk  once  only  and  answer  the  questions  in  the  spaces  provided.  
• You  may  pause  the  talk  briefly,  for  30~60  seconds,  (depending  on  how  long  
the  answer)  after  each  question  so  that  you  can  complete  the  information.  
• Now  spend  1  minute  looking  through  the  questions,  then  start  the  talk.  
• The  use  of  synonyms,  acronyms,  and  abbreviations  is  acceptable.  Minor  
spelling  errors  are  also  acceptable.  
 
Please  note:  In  order  to  best  simulate  exam  conditions,  do  not  pause  until  all  the  
information  for  a  question  has  been  given.  If  you  pause  the  recording  too  often  you  will  
not  be  developing  the  required  note-­taking  skills.
