Commemoration of Birth Anniversary


of Manuel L. Quezon

I.INTRODUCTION

Manuel Luis Quezon y Molina (August 19, 1879- August 1-, 1940) served as president
of the Commonwealth of the Philippines from 1935 to 1946. He as the first Filipino to head a
government and is considered to have been the second President of the Philippines. He is
known as the “Father of the National Language” Manuel L. Quezon recommended that tagalog
be adopted as the basis for the national language. He believed that all Filipino should speak one
language for them to understand each other.tagalog then was taught in all schools.

II.OBJECTIVE
To promote and preserve the learners to memorialize the history of the Philippine
and our National heroes. And to learn the history on how to fight our national heroes for our
freedom.

IV. The impact of the celebration among the learner, school teachers, and stakeholders.

A. The learners were familiarized the life of our hero Manuel L. Quezon.
B. The Celebration of birth anniversary of Manuel L. Quezon was carefully planned
and organized by the teachers to impart its importance as part of the Philippine
History.
C. The plan of the school were carefully made by the school and stakeholders
participation and cooperation are very much shown in the activities of the month.
V. CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT
Very important to the learners to know the life of our hero Manuel L. Quezon as part of
our history .

VI MILESTONE
Manuel L. Quezon before leaving Manila for Corregidor created the first currency committee
to design and print emergency occupation currency. On December 29, 1941 twenty-one days
after hostilities with Japan started, he authorized the printing of local emergency currency. The
Japanese becameissued”invasion currency” which Filipinos refused to use. The Japanese
became aware of the existenceof “guerrilla currency” and considered possession of such notes
a crime punishable by death.
