II. Course Title : Civic Welfare Training Service
III. Course Duration : 1 SEMESTER
IV. Course Description:
The welfare of children has been the inspiration and the driving purpose of this module. It is designed
especially to help NSTP-CWTS students broaden their knowledge and enhance their skills in organizing different
socialization and educational activities and program as a way of helping the less fortunate children in our society.
The useful and comprehensive topics discussed were guided by the best interest of the child and by a commitment
to children’s human rights, as stated in the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

V. General Course Objective: At the end of the course, the students should be able to:
1. Explain child welfare program by defining and discussing the concept of child and child abuse in the
institution and community;
2. Analyze different rights of the child by enumerating and citing examples or current issues related to each
right;
3. Exhibit the spirit of faith by promoting child welfare program and encouraging children to exercise their
rights and the people in the community to protect their children;
4. Demonstrate the spirit of zeal by responding actively to the needs and concerns of children in the institution
and communities; and
5. Manifest the communion in mission by planning activities aiming to establish good interpersonal relationship
between Candelarian students and the children.
