1. HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL

AADHARSHILA VIDYA MANDIR is a unique CBSE affiliated public school in Bilaspur,

Chhatisgarh. It is situated behind the Government Engineering College Ramtala road, Sendri,
Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. The school was founded in the year 2011 with the aim of imparting
quality education. The school is the flagship project of Sandipani Education Society, since
04/10/2006 having registration number 5378, a not for profit organization with the goal of
providing quality education. The registration is valid up to 04/10/2022 Established to make
children all-round and self-dependent individuals, the school has been constructed on a
sprawling 2.3-acre campus with splendid infrastructure facilities in a tranquil and pollution
free environment. Every child will leave AVM School having explored the various facets of
his/her inner potential to the fullest.

The entire gamut of activities in AVM reflects its objective of nurturing young children making
them responsible adults who can make a positive contribution to the world. A comprehensive
academic and co-curricular program, experienced faculty members, personal attention and
care, and state of the art infrastructure collectively ensure that the education a child receives at
AVM School is completely holistic.

The AVM school is provisionally affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi.

2. OBJECTIVE OF THE SCHOOL

The school promise to provide excellent education to every child to generate and nourish the
competitive skills to face and overcome challenges in the lifelong race to become a complete
human.

“IF BETTER IS POSSIBLE, GOOD IS NOT ENOUGH”. Striving to newer and better
ways of doing things and finding innovative ways of delighting its pupil have always been fore
front at AVM. Child is a member of a family, a community and the world. It is important that
schools integrate human education as integral part of their broader, bolder education for the
21st century, and education which is capable of saving humanity.

Children need to learn not only how to work with each other and tolerate the other but also feel
a deeper emotion of love for the others, irrespective of how different the other is in their views,
habits, culture and tradition. Present form of multi-cultural education focuses on the 4F’S: Food
Festivals, Flags and Fabrics of different countries and cultures. While it creates knowledge of

5
the others, multi-cultural education in its most prevalent form, provides often a limited
understanding of human diversity and its richness.

Time has come when the children are taught to recognize the fundamental unity of the human
race, a unity based on diversity and not on sameness. The school must learn to “SHARE OUR
SIMILARITIES, CELEBRATE OUR DIFFERENCES,” and that they are all different and
yet the same. Children need to learn to appreciate and embrace diversity even more than they
appreciate sameness. Imagine a garden full of flowers of the same colour, size and presume. It
is the diversity of the flower in a garden that makes a garden beautiful. Diversity allows for
creative growth and inquiry. Unity in diversity is an expression of unity without uniformity and
diversity without fragmentation. “This attainment is made possible through passionate concern
for choice, in an atmosphere of social trust.”

Children never forget these experiences. When a school hosts a student delegation, it can be a
rewarding experience for all. The impact is often life changing.

The School objectives behind their effort are;

1. Making a quality person.
