THINGS TO NOTE:
1. Praise is the expression of admiration for God
When we praise God we are letting Him know that we admire and approve of Him
2. Our praise is our expression of our respect and honour for God
3. When we praise God, it is an expression of our gratitude to God
THE BENEFITS OF PRAISE
1. Praise is the fulfilment of our purpose of creation (Isa. 43:21)
One of the primary reasons we have been created by God is to express praise to Him
Our praise is what we do for God that only us can do for Him
2. Praise is the password to the Presence of God (Ps. 100:4)
When we praise God, we gain access into the Presence of God
To enter into the Presence of God without praise is like gate crashing;
Our prayers and petitions must begin and end with praise (Matt. 6:9-13)
3. Praise breaks chains and opens prison doors (Acts 16:25-26)
Your praise has the capacity to break chains and open prison doors
When we make praise our lifestyle, every locked door shall be opened and every chain holding
us down shall be broken
4. Praise is the protocol for our prosperity (1Sam. 6:10-12; Matt. 14:6-7)
Your praise opens your doors for your blessings to be ushered your way
5. Praise is a favour enhancer (Judges 21:18, 21)
Praise time in church is not interlude for the arrival of late comers
6. Praise is a weapon of war (2Chron. 20:20-22)
Praise God and your battles shall be won
KEYS TO EFFECTIVE PRAISE:
1. Holiness (Isa. 62:9; 2Chron. 20:21)
2. An attitude of gratitude
True worship stems from a heart of gratitude
Find something in every situation to be grateful about
When you thank God for the healing of a headache, then you will see the healing of cancer
3. The attitude of sacrifice (Heb. 13:15)
4. Joy and gladness (Jer. 33:11)
Your major key to praise is joy and thanksgiving
It is a precursor and it is a by-product - you need joy and thanksgiving to step into effective
praise, and when you praise effectively, it is also an outcome
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
- Every prison door that was closed against you shall be opened
- Today your protocol of praise and worship shall bring about your blessings
- Whatever oath or curse is at work in your life that says you should not go forward, today, as you
praise God, that spell shall be broken!
- Today, as you praise, your enemies shall be smitten in their camps
- Today, everything that stood in your way shall be eliminated
- Today, as you praise God, those that conspired against you shall be laid to rest
- God is about to bring about a creative miracle in your life
