OPEN LETTER TO ICJ

Your Honor,

I am writing on the behalf of all Kashmiris, want to divert your attention towards the most
ignored piece of the globe; Kashmir. The people who live on my land are the ones whose blood
is quite inexpensive, which has been shedding for decades. The crime of my inhabitants is just to
raise voice against atrocities and injustice from India and Indian Army. My streets have
witnessed innocent blood shedding for decades. They are trying their best to take freedom from
the brutal Indian Army, but sometimes they failed to do so. My heart is dripping blood over the
killings of my inhabitants, but I cannot save them. I felt so gloomily over the silence from the
Human Rights Organizations, sometimes I feel so helpless while witnessing such criminal
activities with my innocent people.

My majority-Muslim region in both India and Pakistan’s north, has been partitioned between the
two countries since 1947. It’s been a major source of tension ever since, with both sides
disputing one another’s control over the region; the two countries have already gone to war over
it twice.

From January 2016, Indian atrocities have increased. I have been burned, my kids were gunned
down, my soldiers who are fighting for freedom have brutally killed, and my women were raped,
molested but they still stand in front of Indian Army. I have been screaming for several decades,
but you did not respond a single time. In fact, no one did.

On 5th August, 2019, Indian government inflame the situation by rescinding Constitution, that
for decades afforded the Muslim-majority state of Jammu and Kashmir India’s side of Kashmir
substantial autonomy over its own affairs, article 370 also prohibit people outside the state from
buying property here in order to prevent India’s majority Hindu population from moving into
Jammu and Kashmir and displacing the Muslims who live here. By rescinding the article Indian
government in New Delhi will now have far more control over Jammu and Kashmir, and
outsiders will be allowed to buy property here and now Hindus will entered to the region to push
out the Muslims once and for all.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Bharatiya Janata Party are pursuing a Hindu
nationalist agenda that aims to reshape the country’s identity from a pluralistic democracy,
where people belong to of all religious faiths enjoy equal status and rights, to a country where the
Hindu religion is given supremacy and infuses every aspect of politics and society. Revoking
Article 370 and exerting more control over Muslim-majority Jammu and Kashmir is a key part of
this agenda.
Here, I want to acknowledge you that no one is secure on my land. Whether he is a child, old age
people and even they did not spare women’s. Your organization always helps the countries who
have suffered from killings, war zones, bombings but you are not listening to the voice of mine.
It is so depressing and bereaving for me.

Moreover, you have heard about the pellets bullets have been fired by Indian Army regardless of
gender and age. More than 1000 of my inhabitants were gunned down, and more than 600 people
have been blind due to these pellets. Warmongers completely ruined, their bones, skin, and flesh
have engraved from pellets bullets.

Kashmiris have been neglected by your UN, like, Syria, Iraq, and Palestine. However, UN
condemned the attacks in Paris and Brussels, they always stand by with them and condemn, but
they did not raise voice for me and other Muslim countries, it is excruciatingly painful. My land
and people protest millions of times for freedom, but no one cares. Now, I am (Kashmir) raising
my voice for justice, freedom, sovereignty and security for my beloved inhabitants.

I, on behalf of all my people urge you, do not let my argument go in vain. I urgently need your
help and please resolve my matter as soon as possible, my people are burning, bruised, killed and
molested. Please pay attention to the voice of wounded people and be a helper of victims not to
be with the evil ones. You have to answer your God. You have the power and right to help who
need you the most.

I hope you will understand my condition, feelings of my incapacitated Kashmiris and will take
strong actions against such killings, atrocities, brutality and killing of Indian army.

From,
The neglecting piece of earth; Kashmir.
