SAP Live Access - Setup Guide


SAPX03 Collection 10
Before starting the lab work in your SAP Live Access training environment you will need to prepare based on
the SAP Live Access General User Guide and this course relevant Setup Guide. This document provides all
the additional training system setup information that you need to know in order to successfully use your SAP
Live Access training environment for the booked course.

Your designated group number for this course is 01. Every time you are asked to make an input containing the
## or XX symbols, you need to replace them with 01 consistently throughout the course exercises.

Using SAP Logon


To begin using your training environment click
button located in the Windows taskbar or the START
Menu to launch the SAP Logon application. Choose the
required SAP system as provided in your course exercise
and click on the Log On button.

On the SAP GUI Logon screen you need to enter your


initial credentials as provided in the table above and press
enter or button. The Logon language settings (EN is
English) and the Client number should be left unchanged
in case no other instruction is given in the course exercise.

Additional preparation in the system


Workflow Information – WF Template and Task

- You will find an SAPX03_10 folder containing text files you will need to perform your exercises. This folder
is located in your virtual machine‘s N:\My Documents location. The text files contain code that you can use
to copy/paste into your exercise project files, so as to reduce the amount of typing required.

How To Quick Launch Fiori


- Make Google Chrome the default browser.
Open browser Google Chrome, select the Menu button, then open Settings and scroll to the bottom.
Select the “Make Google Chrome The Default Browser” button.

- Go to Start Menu  Documents  SAPX03_10


Click corresponding shortcut to quick start Fiori Launchpad (Fiori_LPD) or the Launchpad Designer
(Fiori_LPD_Designer).

Known system issues


Potential issue with single quote characters in text files

In many files, the single quote characters won’t cause an issue, however, just to avoid troubleshooting time to
replace the single quote symbols it is better to copy and paste from the text files.

Prior to beginning the exercise, clear the browsing history from whichever browser you intend to use. If not
done, the catalog may not appear in the Launchpad even though it has been created in the Launchpad
Designer.

The table in step 34 has a typo – the Action should read “displayMyQuotations”, not “DisplayMyQuotations” as
shown (no capital D).

Step 7 – the login should be fiori, not fiori-## as shown. The password is correct.

In the task labeled Check the Launchpad Objects, the server you are connected to can become confusing.
You should be performing this task on the Frontend server.

Unit 6 Exercise 8: Add Custom Workflow Scenarios to the SAP Fiori My Inbox App
In the task labeled Define Workflow Scenarios, the box on the pdf is misaligned. It should be around the
Scenario Definition item.

In the task labeled Define Workflow Scenarios, under the sub task of Assign Task, when saving the scenario
and ABAP error may be thrown. There is a note that should be applied to the image, but may not have been.
If the error is received, simply skip to the next step and continue.

Common error – check and ensure that in the Parameters section the value is correct (should be allItems, i.e.
Items with a capital I.)

Unit 7 Exercise 9: Configure a KPI using the Launchpad KPI Modeler


On step 5, with the release of Simple Finance 1605, the link to the Fiori App Catalog has changed. On the
Fiori app for sFin 1503, the link is invalid, while on the sFin 1605 app no link is provided to the configuration
information. Use this link to get the appropriate information to continue the exercise.

Unit 8 Exercise 10: Add a Custom Field to SAP Fiori My Quotations OData Extensibility
In the task labeled Extend the OData Service via the Redefine Approach, at step 29, the service must be
activated from the front end. To do so, execute the transaction /n/iwfnd/maint_service then select the Add
Service button. For the system alias, enter an alias of ZME_800. Enter the name of your modified service
and select the Green check mark. The service should be activated on the front end.

Perform the following two steps prior to beginning the exercise.

1. Execute transaction SPRO, then navigate to SAP Reference IMG -> Financial Accounting (New) ->
Financial Accounting Global Settings (New) -> Tax on Sales/Purchases -> Basic Settings -> External
Tax Calculation, then select Execute next to Activate External Tax Calculation:

2. Delete the V in the External System field for the TAXUSX system:

The on-premise SAP WebIDE instance prior to the exercise. To do this, select Start > All programs > SAP
Web IDE > STEP 1 – INSTRUCTOR_ONLY and Launch Orion. Once the command prompt window and
completes the start up, you may continue. You MUST leave the window open for the duration of the exercise.
