Problem Statement : The percentage of parents’ participation and
involvement in various programs and activities of the school does not
reach the Division’s standard of 85 percent.
Project Objective Statement:
The Poject: BLAST ( Bringing Lasting Alliance Starts Today ) aims
to increase the percentage of parents/stakeholders’ participation to
85 percent or higher by the end of March 2020.
Root Causes:
Below standard parents’ participation in various school programs
and activities may be attributed to the following:
 Low level of commitment to parental support
 Lack of understanding of non-traditional families on the school
system
 Low parental involvement in student's education
 Embarrassment of parents who may be illiterate or unable to
speak well
 Parents’ feeling of not being welcomed in school because
they feel that what they may have to offer is unimportant and
unappreciated
 Low socio-economic status of the family
