The research was undertaken to understand the impact of Cruise Tourism on South Wales of England. The main objective was to find either
the impact is positive or negative. Talking in positive impact term the cruise tourism created a lot of job opportunity and a good growth to
Economy. Also as investors may have more opportunities to invest in the cruise industry, therefore for any tourism sector of a country it is a
good sign.

Whereas talking in Negative impact an overpopulation of tourists caused a big problem for local residents because the market streets and
shops were busy than usual and the cruise ships docking at the ports create an enormous pressure on all shore-based facilities.

The problem was the Negative Impact which were arising because of Positive Impact because on one hand it brought lot of tourists to the
town but on the other hand it created problems for the local residents they were uncomfortable with their daily routine activities and it cause
an inconvenience to them.

In the South West of England, they are being overpopulated due to tourism. The residents feel as if the tourists will threaten the area by
³diluting´ or ³potentially destroying´ traditional cultures and societies. An overpopulation of tourists can cause an inconvenience to local
residents, by making the streets and local shops busier than usual. There will also be less room for local residents to have visitors. And the
cruise ships docking at the ports create an enormous pressure on all shore-based facilities. This topic is important to address because when
you have so many tourists coming into a community it can cause problems with the local residents. They need to talk about this because
they have to make sure that everyone is on board with everything and that everyone is okay because they do not want a non-happy
community. This topic will help managers, employees, and people in the community who are looking for jobs because the more people that
come into the community, the more they will need people to work at the different shops to help make sure the tourist enjoy their time, but
then again this also could be an issue with the customers because they will feel so surrounded by the tourists as they shop which causes a
problem. So in conclusion the purpose of this article is to understand the reasons why they need more tourists in the area, and what it will do
for the community.

In this article they wanted to find out what the impact of tourists on a community would do to local residents. The research was valued
because it showed both positive and negative impacts on society. The positive outcome of this research showed that many businesses
would benefit from the tourists that come into society because they would be making the money. The negative aspect of the research is that
the local residents feel overwhelmed by the growing population of the tourists. There was little or no evidence in the results of negative
impacts of the crime rates as an increase of tourists but these are often associated with increased tourism. The method of the research they
used was effective because they used personal encounters (E-mail, Face-to-face, and street surveys). I believe that this way is most
effective because you are getting a feel of the residents in the community and what they want. I would not change anything about the method
of research. I look at our community with Niagara Falls and it makes me realize how much tourism does have an impact on a society and the
local residents. In conclusion I feel that this was a good study done to have evidence of what the impact of tourism is on society.

a. Your post in this thread will comment specifically on the results of the study. You are asked to identify what you
feel are the key findings and whether the findings were important. You may also wish to comment on the
following (you do NOT have to comment on everything):
i. What did they mean?
ii. What is the value of this research?
iii. Would the method (the process they used to collect information) influence the results?
iv. If you were to repeat the study, what would you do differently?
v. Would you like to see the study purpose altered in anyway (perhaps consider a different study group/organization)
