1. Introduction stating the context
In these graphs there is relation showing fertility rate of population year during the span of years of the
different countries of the world and its relation to the statement made by Modi which says the growth is
stabilized and its declining according to Narendra Modi’s point of view and they will come up with some
solution too stop the uncontrolled growth. And to tackle the growth.
In the bar graph it shows the drop in fertility rate of diferent religion and showing that is there is sharpest
fall occur in ratio of muslims and what is change in fertility rate during year 2005-06 to 2015-16 and the
fertility rate affected by how many factors like affluence and education level and we found out Muslim
has maximum fall in their fertility change during this year and least change is observed in Jainism

Graph 1: This graph shows the relation between fertility rate of world and India and China and it was
found out that world’s average replacement rate is 2.1 that means there is 2.1 babies per woman while in
case of India’s fertility rate has been dropped to 2.2 hence it is assumed that India’s population is now
getting stabilized during this span of years.

Graph 2: This graph shows that the population of India will overtake china’s Population by 2020’sIn this
graph it is projected that India’s population will overtake china’s population by 2020s and by 2060 it will
peak up to 1.65 billion, but after that it will start decreasing.

2. Appropriate chart/graph used

Line graphs are used to display the data about total fertility rate by region and population by
region respectively. It is used to display change in data over the years. It shows the trends occur
in the data with the help of the colour which different region with different colour .One axis
denotes relation between fertility rate with the population and other gives the same relation but it
consider religion in between them and a replacement line is also used which gives average babies
per woman .
In the third graph there is discrete change in data over the years. It shows display in fertility rate
of 6 different religion by the help of colour.

3. Elimination of Clutter

It include some clutter like it compared the population of china compared to the world and it
shows the label directly on the screen and the good thing is they don’t use more than 4 colour in
representing the graph with clean background. Comparing the country and continent at the same
time Irrelevant use of Africa continent and the gridlines should be removed.

In the bar graph colour selection should be proper using the contrast and it should be in
decreasing order according to change in fertility rate according to the religion

4. Gestalt Principles

It used different types of color to display the information and the color used is no so flashy which
shows the relation between fertility rate across different regions-. Enclosure is one of the gestalt
principle used in this case.

In the bar graph red color is used to show the similarity between different religions which show
the same color for all religions and the change in percentage is and the area of bar graph used is
of same size.

5. Pre-attentive attributes

(i) The line which is used for replacement is not clearly understood because of
light colur as the colour used for all the countries is in light form so it should
be in the form of dark background colour.
(ii) Red color used in Heading is good it shows that how crucial the information is
and its effect cannot be neglected.
(iii) Spacing of bar and the length of each percentage change is in synchnised
according to the data given.
