S.W.O.T ANALYSIS OF SITE
STRENGTH:
- Climate of pune is favourable to design.
- As there is no autism centre near by city ,the site is located in main city ,which can be
easily accessible.
- The site is in the main city which reduces the necessary off- site establishment.
- There is farm land on 3 side of site , i.e – east, west, south side ,due to farmland there is
silence toward this zone which mahke it favourable to design in this zone.
Weakness :
- North side of the site has the main airport road ,so in the autism centre the zones
which requires the silence –school, therapy, living cannot be placed near the north
zone .
- Rectangular site is elongated towards east – west direction ,south and north part
covers the major area of site ,so to avoid heating building should be properly
oriented.
Opportunities :
- As site has no contours also rectangular in shape , there will be ease in design and
construction of the spaces.
- The vechicular road can be located on the periphery of the site as there are no
obstructing trees at periphery .
- Pedestrian pathway can be located anywhere in site as it does not have level
difference and the access will depend on the orientation of building.
- Advantage can be taken from the existing trees on the site for landscaping.
Threats :
- As the site is located near the main airport road ,and yerwada central jail it may lead
to traffic and congestion .
