Introduce myself

Sample 1

My name is Chan Yan Ying. I’m eleven years old. There are three members in my family. They are my
father, mother and I. I have a fantastic family life. My mom and dad are very kind. They also teach me how to
be a good girl.

I study at St. Antonius Primary School. I go to school on foot. It takes me about five minutes. Chinese is
my favourite subject because I love writing and reading Chinese storybook. I love English too. It can help me to
communicate with foreigners. I’m a prefect leader. I always take care of the younger pupils.

I have many hobbies, for example reading, playing chess and playing basketball. I love to play chess very
much although I’m not a good player. I always encourage my friends to play chess because it can train my
thinking. I like reading too. I love to read fiction. It’s because reading is very funny. I like to play basketball too.
I’m a basketball team member. I hope I can help my team to get a medal in the coming competition.

I want to be a teacher when I grow up because I want to train the children to be the pillar of the state in the
future.

My name is Wu Sze Lok, you can call me Karen. I’m 11 years old. I live in Tseung Kwan O.

I live with my family, my mun, my dad, my sister and my brother. On Sundays, I always go to the library
with my sister. If my parents are free, we’ll go to the cinema and watch a movie. My brother is clever, he
always teaches me how to do my homework. I love my family very much.

I like reading and drawing. In summer holiday, my sister and I went to a library once a week. We borrowed
many books, some about ghost and some about philosophy. Before summer holiday, our school had a
competition about Art. I was delighted because I won the first prize. I love playing basketball, I always play it
with my classmates.

I want to be a vet when I grow up. It’s because I think animals are cute and I want to help them when they
are sick. I hope my dream will come true.

Sample 3

My name is Lam Wai Sum. I am ten years old. There are three members in my family. They are my mum,
my dad and I. We always play badminton, we always talk together at night. We are very happy because we like
sharing our lives with each other.

I study at St. Antonius Primary School. I go to school on foot for ten minutes. I like English most because
I am good at it. My English’s mark was the highest in primary five. I have been a prefect since I was primary
four and I was a monitress in primary five. I like to help my schoolmates and teachers.

I like to play badminton very much. I am a member of the school team. I have played badminton for three
years. I have won the girl’s team award. I’m also interested in playing table tennis. I always play table tennis
during recess with my classmates. I like reading because I can know many new words from the books. It can
improve my writing skills too.

I want to be a teacher when I grow up. I like to take care of children.

Sample 4

My name is Lee Ka Wai. My English name is Stacy. I am eleven years old. I have a big family. There are
six members in my family. They are my grandpa, grandma, father, mother, younger brother and I. We all like
travelling. I have a happy family because we love each other.

My school is St. Antonius Primary School. Though it is not big, I like it very much because there are many
good teachers and they teach us patiently. My school is not far away from my flat. It only takes me 15 minutes
to go there on foot. My favourite subject is General Studies and I am good at Chinese. I have lots of hobbies. I
like drawing, playing the piano and reading novels. I also enjoy playing table tennis and badminton.

As to my personality, I am an outgoing girl and like to help other. I want to be a lawyer when I grow up.
It’s because I like to tell people about laws and help them to solve problems in courts. I like it very much!

I like your school very much because there are many good teachers and there is a good environment too! I
hope I can study in your school next year.

My name is Chan Wing Sze. I am eleven years old. My family has four members. They are my father,
mother, brother and I. We always go to swim on Saturday and have a rest on Sunday. Sometimes we will go
camping. During the summer, we went to Cheung Chau for camping and had a barbecue.

I study at St. Antonius Primary School. I am a P.6 student. I like Science very much because it is the most
interesting subject. It is easy to learn and I can gain a lot of knowledge. I always get high marks in the
examination.

I have many hobbies, like playing the piano, singing, reading and sports. I have played the piano for five
years. After I finish my homework, I practise it an hour every day. I am preparing for grade six examination
now. I hope I can pass the examination but it is not easy. I will try my best. I am a member of senior choir at
school. I like listening to English songs because it can improve my English. I often sing with my friends
together. I always read the magical and fictitious stories. They are exciting and fanciful. I like playing
basketball, badminton, swimming and skipping. They can keep me strong and fit.

I want to be a doctor when I grow up. I hope to help people and save their lives. If I were a doctor, I will
help the poor people to have the best medical treatment.
