Tiia Ojanperä / Senior Scientistand Project Manager / VTT
Dr. Tiia Ojanperä works as a Research Team Leader and Project Manager in the ‘Autonomous Systems Connectivity’ team of VTT Technical
Research Centre of Finland Ltd. She received her M.Sc. (Tech.) degree on Information Engineering from University of Oulu in 2004 and Ph.D.
(Tech.) degree on Computer Science and Engineering from University of Oulu in 2013. She is involved in several Finnish and EU-level projects that
focus on 5G vertical services such as the automotive and media & entertainment ones. Recently, she coordinated the Challenge Finland 5G-SAFE
project, conducting R&D on novel 5G-enabled road safety services in collaboration with Finnish academia and industry.”

Vishnu Sundaram / Vice President / HARMAN International


Vishnu Sundaram is the Global Leader for Telematics at Harman. In this multi-faced role, Vishnu drives all aspects from creation of cutting edge
Telematics solutions to profitable execution of projects. Vishnu is also the board member (A) of 5G Automotive Alliance. Prior to career at Harman,
Vishnu founded Interchain, a Telematics product company that was acquired by Harman. Vishnu also co-founded Lifeblob, a content aggregation
platform, which was acquired by Printo. Vishnu did Executive General Management at Wharton University, in addition to the Masters degree.
Vishnu has published several patents and publications in the IOT domain.

Roberto Riggio / Head of the Wireless and Networked System Unit / FBK CREATE-NET
Roberto Riggio is Head of the Wireless and Networked System Unit at FBK CREATE-NET. His research interests include software-defined mobile
networks, active network slicing, and distributed management and orchestration of network services. He has published more than 100 papers
in internationally refereed journals and conferences and has generated more than 2.7 M€ in competitive funding. He is also the holder of two
patents. He received several awards including: the IEEE INFOCOM 2013 Best Demo Award, the IEEE ManFI 2015 Best Paper Award, and the
IEEE CNSM 2015 Best Paper Award. He serves in the TPC/OC of leading conferences in the networking field and he is associate editor for the
Wiley International Journal of Network Management, the Springer Wireless Networks journal, and the IEEE Transactions on Network and Service
Management. He is the Project coordinator of H2020 5G-CARMEN, a 18.5 ME project on 5G for connected, cooperative, and automated
mobility. He is the co-founder of the IEEE 5GMan workshop. He is a member of the ACM and a Senior Member of the IEEE.

Patrice Reilhac / R&I Director / Valeo


is Innovation & Collaborative Research Director for the Comfort & Driving Assistance Business Group at Valeo, a leading worldwide Tier 1 supplier
of components and systems for the automotive industry. He currently leads a global team based in Germany, France, China & the Silicon Valley.
He is in charge of the identification, evaluation and early stage development of disruptive innovations in the area of “Intuitive Driving” that covers
the perimeter of vehicle automation, connectivity and extended Human Machine Interface. An intuitive and synthetic thinker, Patrice knows how to
make the right connections to reveal the big picture. Thinking ahead to identify the implications of current trends, he has a nose for an opportunity
and the drive to make it happen. Right now he is navigating the turbulent waters of Automation, surfing on different disciplines to participate in the
invention of new paradigms. He has recently co-authored five papers for Springer on the subject. Patrice started his career in a start-up in the IT
industry. He has been with Valeo for 27 years with various responsibilities in customer project management, generic R&D projects and worldwide
advanced development tasks. He obtained his engineering degree from the Ecole Centrale de Lyon in France and from the Darmstadt Technical
University in Germany. He also has an MSc in Management Sciences from the University Of Manchester School Of Management with a focus on
International Marketing & Innovation Management.

Michele Zarri / Technical Director / GSMA


Michele Zarri is a technical director in GSMA where he works on advanced technologies and 5G. Michele graduated in telecommunications
engineering at University of Pisa (Italy) and completed his studies at King’s College of London (UK). Prior joining the GSMA Michele worked for
Deutsche Telekom where he accrued more than 15 years of experience in standardization of mobile technologies. Michele served as chairman
of working groups both in 3GPP and GSMA.

Upon completion and return of the registration form, full payment is required within 5 days from the date
of invoice.
Payment must be received prior to the conference date. We reserve the right to refuse admission to the
conference if payment has not been received. A 50% cancellation fee will be charged under the terms
outlined below.

You may substitute delegates at any time by providing reasonable advance notice to BIS GROUP. For any
cancellations received in writing not less than ten days(10 days) prior to the conference, you will receive a
Postcode 90% credit to be used at another BIS conference which must occur within one year from the date of issuance
of such credit. An administration fee of 10% of the contract fee will be retained by BIS for all permitted
cancellations. No credit will be issued for any cancellations occurring within Eight days (8 days) of the con-

In the event that BIS GROUP cancels an event for any reason, you will receive a credit for 100% of the

occur within one year from the date of cancellation. In the event that BIS postpones an event for any reason
and the delegate is unable or unwilling to attend in on the rescheduled date, you will receive a credit for
100% of the contract fee paid. You may use this credit for another BIS GROUP event to be mutually agreed
