The similar deadly attack on Radio Katanga and Radio College: However in the Radio College battle 24 Irish UN were captured, The third battle started that day at Jadotville where a unit of 280 GKat made a company of 152 Irish and 3 other UN soldiers to surrender themselves. An intervention company at the Lufira bridge under the command of the colonel Faulques with the Belgian Para - commando Dislaire Lucien, and his friends, was stopped and sent back to Elisabethville. Early in the morning of that day, at 6 o'clock, another friend, the young Belgian volunteer Simon Mahili, not aware of the presence of the Gurkha's or the Swedish armored in the post office vicinity, was shot dead by the latter.
