    The Tanzania Inter-Bank Settlement System (TISS) is a real-time gross settlement system implemented by the Bank of Tanzania to facilitate real-time and gross settlement of payments between banks. TISS allows participating commercial banks to offer efficient and time-sensitive payment services to their customers. Customers of participating banks can access TISS for payments that require real-time processing or are time-sensitive. TISS operates from Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:30pm except on public holidays.
