Proctored Test Protocols

1. The proctoring authentication process for every exam involves a live ID check, which requires a
government issued photo identification.
2. The proctoring authentication process for every exam involves a live room scan, which will be specific
to your testing environment. This means that a student may be asked to change attributes of the
testing environment to align with test protocols.
3. The room scan for every exam must show 360 degrees of the room and include the computer
keyboard and work surface. A student may be asked to show under the desk, the ceiling, or other
areas of the room.
4. A student should expect up to 30 minutes of authentication process procedures to begin every exam.
Connecting to a proctoring representative for the authentication process of every exam may take up to
10 minutes plus the actual authentication process for every exam may take up to 20 minutes.
5. Every exam requires a functioning web camera and functioning computer audio for recording
purposes. Cell phones, tablets, and Chromebooks are not acceptable platforms for taking a proctored
exam.
6. The camera recording participation in the test cannot be blocked or obstructed, fully or partially, in any
way during the entire exam. The testing environment must remain well lit.
7. The computer audio cannot be disrupted, turned off, or muffled in any way during the entire exam.
You are not allowed to speak, read exam questions, have music in the background, etc. during the
exam.
8. Academic integrity protocols require:
o Eyes must be visible to the camera without obstruction, including sunglasses, tinted lenses, hat
brims, hands, etc. during the entire exam.
o Head coverings are not allowed during the exam except for religious accommodations, which
should appear on the presented identification.
o Other people are not allowed in the room where a proctored exam is being taken.
o Headphones are not allowed to be worn or remain in the testing area during proctored exams.
9. Students are responsible for ensuring that they have reliable internet connection, the correct version
of Google Chrome, the correct proctoring extension with all others disabled, and appropriate
bandwidth to take the exam.
10. No other electronic devices other than the computer for taking the test may be active during the
exam. Prohibited electronic devices include but are not limited to cell phones, second computers,
televisions, radios, etc.
11. Students are responsible for starting the exam with enough time to complete it prior to the deadline,
even if technical difficulties are experienced.
12. Proctored test protocols require that the last time a student will be allowed to log in to access an exam
is 30 minutes plus the length of the exam prior to the exam close time (e.g., If your test length is 30
minutes, you must log in no later than 60 minutes before the exam close time to access and take the
exam.)
13. Students are not allowed to start a proctored exam if they miss the last time to access the exam.
14. If technical difficulties occur during the exam, the student is required to contact the proctoring
technical support team immediately using live chat or by calling 1-855-772-8678 (option 2).
15. The Proctored Test Protocols are used to ensure academic integrity standards. Failure to comply with
the requirements for a proctored exam is a violation of the MBA Honor Code and may result in a loss
of points.
