Kinetic Energy

The energy of an object is a measure of the ability of the object to do a work. The unit of
energy is the joule. In energy physics are divided into various types. One of them is kinetic
energy. The technical term for the energy associated with motion is kinetic energy. Moving
objects have kinetic energy falling objects from a height will have potential energy. However,
when an object or object gets activity or strength, then the potential energy in that object changes
to kinetic energy. Later, this kinetic energy will be transferred or changed to other energy such as
gravitational energy, elastic. Kinetic energy will change to gravitational energy, if the object falls
down, while kinetic energy will change to elastic energy if the object bounces. Kinetic energy
involves speed and mass of object. We see that doubling the object’s velocity does not just
double its energy, it quadruples it. However, we find that doubling the mass only doubles the
energy. This suggests that kinetic energy is proportional to mass and to the square of velocity,
KE∝mv2KE∝mv2 the proportionality factor equals 0.5 because of the design of the metric
system, The metric system is based on the meter, kilogram, and second, with other units being
derived from those. Comparing the units on the left and right sides of the equation shows that the
joule can be reexpressed in terms of the basic units as kg⋅m2/s2kg⋅m2/s2. So the Kinetic energy
formula or equation of a moving object is given by: KE = 1 / 2.m.v ^ 2
Kinetic energy is proportional to mass and velocity of the object, so kinetic energy is
increase when the mass and velocity of an object increased. Maximum kinetic energy when it
feels right on the ground. In that condition, there is no potential energy. It is known to measure
kinetic energy, we must first measure the mass and velocity of the object. To find how much
kinetic energy is possessed by a given moving object, we must convert all its kinetic energy into
heat energy and sound energy, which we have chosen as the standard reference type of energy.
We could do this, for example, by firing projectiles into a tank of water and measuring the
increase in temperature of the water as a function of the projectile’s mass and velocity.
After all, the equation for kinetic energy is fairly complicated, since it involves the square of
the velocity, so it would be surprising if everything still worked out in the new frame of
reference. It does still work out.
