Candidates shortlisted for admissions in M. Tech. for the semester commencing from July-2018

School of Basic Sciences had called applications for following M. Tech programmes
1. M. Tech. in Biotechnology
2. M. Tech. in Biotechnology with Specialization in Systems Biology
3. M. Tech. in Biotechnology with Specialization in Medical and NanoBiotechnology

 The minimum qualifications for applying to these programmes were advertised at the Institute’s website.

 The candidates shortlisted for admission according to merit list are mentioned below. The shortlisting criterion is given before the list.

 Any seat vacated from reserve seats will be filled by the candidate next in wait list of merit list of same category

 Selected candidates are requested to take admission as per the directive from SBS office:

Following are the shortlisting criteria

Applicants were shortlisted for admission solely based on their GATE score, no separate written exam or interview was carried out.
1. Valid Gate Score in Biotechnology/ Life Sciences or related areas with the following cut off score:
 General candidates: 375
 OBC candidates: 337
 SC/ST/PWD: 247
 2. Wherever applicants have same GATE score, marks/grades obtained in the last academic degree program (Btech/M.sc) is taken into
consideration
3. Total number of application received: 82
4. Total seat available: 18

Selected candidates for admission to M.Tech Biotechnology (August ,2018)

Subject to document verification by SBS office and approval by Dean Academics, IIT Mandi

First List

Following candidates are selected for the admission to M.Tech program (BioTechnology). The selected candidates will receive an email with
further details shortly. Last date to accept the offer is by 20/07/18 for first list.
The candidates accepting the offer are required to deposit admission fee and other fees as per institute guideline
(http://iitmandi.ac.in/academics/files/Fee%20structure%20for%20M.Tech%20programme.pdf) through online transfer
(https://paytm.com/education?op=Indian%20Institute%20Of%20Technology%20Mandi&utm_medium=smarturl&utm_source=smarturl&utm_t
erm=web&utm_campaign=web), failing which, the offer will stand cancelled and the said seat will be offered to the waiting list candidate. No
other communication shall be entertained by the Institute in this regard.
