Autobiography

My name is Titah Indyra Pasha. I was born on the 27th of January, 1996 in Ambon, but I
was raised in Kepanjen, which is the biggest district in Malang. Ambon is the city where my
parents were assigned. Three years later after I was born, we moved to Kepanjen. My parents
are Sugik Hernawan and Asmiyati, and I have two younger siblings, Ghayu Sabhilla Pasha and
Elfath Maghfira Pasha. Both of my parents are police so my childhood dream was being a
police. But it never be real because I have myopia since junior high school. Eventough myopia
has stopped my dream of being a police, but my parents never stop to educate me strickly
become a discipline, persistent, independent, and toughful woman.

I attended my elementary school and junior high school in Kepanjen. In elementary school,
my science classes did not involve laboratories and the variety of projects and science fairs
which children now enjoy at their schools, but they were instructive and kindled my interest.
That day has become the day when I am passionate about science. Then I was involved my
first science olympiad. Otherwhile, in Senior High School, there was one science teacher,
Reftri, who was inspirational. She challenged me with special problems, and tried to teach the
class to approach science problems in a playful rather than formal spirit. Physics did not require
much of an effort for me, but I worked hard to get the highest grades in languages and other
subjects. As a result, Physics was the best score in my national exam. It was clear to me early
on that after high school I would go to university to study either Physics, Electrical
Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. On the other hand, when I was in Senior High School
I chose to stay in a dormitory. Growing up together leads to our development as an individual
cognitively, spiritually and how we view ourselves and the world.

In 2014, I entered Universitas Brawijaya and majored in Electrical Engineering. Starting

an independent life in a town was a formative experience. It is safe to say that these experience
have had a hand in shaping the person who we are today. To be productive, I fully emerged
myself in many activities and organizations as I could. I joined several activities, those
activities were Telecommunication Laboratory Assistant, Student Association of Electrical
Engineering, Save Street Child Malang, Earth Hour Malang, and being supporter on WWF.
This gave me the ability to make friends and make my campus as my new home. At the end of
my diploma studies, I was very interested in telecommunication and did my diploma thesis on
optical communication under the supervision of Dr. Ir. Sholeh Hadi Pramono, M. Sc. I learnt
a great deal from his lucidity in analyzing problems and how he obtained physical insight from
mathematical solutions. The thesis project took 5 months and at the end I found myself at a
crossroads.
My international experience are International Grand Symposium and Model United Nation
for 3 days in Malaysia. I represent Norway for Goal 4 Quality Education. In day 1, the delegates
will be given opportunity to also feed their mind with knowledge around SDGs through an
International Youth Speakers Symposium. The delegates can relate the idea of their own to
those speakers’ and learn to develop it for the implementation in their countries. In Day 2,
delegates will be required to follow a series of Meeting Sessions. Meeting Session is a formal
session in which assigned delegates will discuss about certain issues related to the SDGs in a
forum. In this session, the delegates will gather in some forums according to their preferences
of Global Goals and country’s representations. The delegates will discuss the related goals by
using MUN parliamentary way. There will be rules, procedures as well as workflow between
the delegates and the Chair and Co-Chair who will lead the discussion. A continuation to the
International Youth Speakers Symposium, Global Goals MUN will provide a day long
symposium in Day 3 with topics uncovered in Day 1 to give a complete understanding about
17 goals of SDGs. Global Goals MUN will invite outstanding international speakers from
various backgrounds representing different Global Goals. Those speakers will share about their
expert view on the global goals, their experience in their contribution work to realize the global
goals, knowledge on the facts about the global goals, and things related to the SDGs.
In the future, I want to teach and research at university in my country and further, I will
take a Ph.D. degree. I wish that I have skills to improve fiber optic education in Indonesia.
Therefore, I wish that I am getting scholarship from NTUST in which I take the master degree
and I will be give the best contribution and power both Taiwan and Indonesia.
