Abstract

The problems are the measurement of how absorbent the paper is, the

amount of leaves and seeds that are in the soil, the amount of papers in the soil,

how tall the plant is, how many days of bloom does it take to determine, and the

difference of each variable.

They only used intermediate pad and Vigna Radiata (Mung Bean) without

using any other kind of material in experimenting. Paper was used to be the

aggregate since its primary ingredient was cellulose. In this research, the

procedures are collecting large amounts of papers, crush it into pieces, and

testing it with Vigna Radiata for a month.

Right after when they finished the research experiment, they saw the

difference between the 5 different variables. The more the amont of papers, the

taller the height or the faster the growth of Vigna Radiata.

CHAPTER 1

Introduction

Having paper as an aggregate is a huge help from a environment because

papers is the one of the most commmon waste here on our school so the

researchers choose paper. They do not choose papersbecause at that reason

only, but for its primary ingredient and its structure.

This cellulose is a very important. Pollysaccharide cellulose is a major of

tough cell wall that surround plant cells and it makes the stem leaves and

branches so strong.

The researcher's problems are:

*How absorbent is the paper?

*How many leaves and fruits are in the plant?

*How many paper in the soil?

*How tall is the plant?

*Days of bloom?

Hypothesis
There is a significant difference between the controlled variable and the

other variables. The variable with the highest amount of paper has the tallest

stem and so they can plant the Vigna radiata to the container which has half soil

and half paper.

1
Significance of the study

The researchers used paper is used as aggregate to the soil to grow

Vigna is because it has the main component or building block of the plant which

is cellulose.

Scope and Limitations

The plant used for formulating their Hypothesis is Vigna radiata (Mung beans)

and it takes 38 days to finish the experiment.

Review of Related Literature

The paper’s primary ingredient is cellulose; cellulose is the substance that

makes up most of a plant's cell wall. Since it is made up by all plants it is

probably the most abundant compound on Earth. Aside from being the primary

building material for plant, cellulose has many other uses Chemist and biologists

described cellulose as complex carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are or organic

compound made up of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen that function as source of

energy for living thing. The simplest common energy is glucose formed by

photosynthesis. Plants make glucose to make cellulose when it links many

simple units of glucose together to form a long chain. These long chains are

called ‘polysaccharides'(meaning many sugar) Soil is a natural resource that can

be categorized to different types but the researchers chose Loam Soil because it

is the only available soil the school and loam is still benefit from topping up with

additional organic matter Vigna radiata,or known as mung bean is their plant

because it is the only available plant in the school and mung bean can grow by a

week.

Wet papers should

Blend it
be dried

After collecting papers, they cut the paper, blend it, and dry if it is wet

when the papers dried they measure it by 20,30,40, and 50% of variable and

examine the result.

Results and Analysis

When the experimentation is done they saw the big difference between

the variables the variable with the lowest amount of paper has the shortest

height, while the other one that has the highest amount of paper has the tallest

height of plant (Vigna radiata).

Chapter 5

Conclusion

The researchers concluded that the plant mostly absorb half of its soil

when the amount of paper is too many. These plants have 10 leaves in each

variable and the paper is almost half amount of the soil. These plant have a

height of 24 cm and it takes months month to investigate their difference

Recommendation

They planned to test this experimentation in a paper cup and planting

more Vigna radiata (monggo beans) in a cotton for fast growing. They also

intended to plant other plants to the same proportions.
