Content Standards: Demonstrate understanding of fitness and exercise in optimizing
one’s health as a habit; as a requisite for PA performance, and as a career opportunity.

resulting in independent pursuit and in influencing others positively.

I. Objectives:
The learners...
1. identify the meaning, signs and symptoms, and prevention of
hypothermia and hyperthermia through graphic organizer,
brainstorming and group reporting.
2. perform a short skit about the signs and symptoms of hypothermia
and hyperthermia
3. Appreciate the importance of differentiating hypothermia from
hyperthermia through journal entry.

II. Topic: Personal Safety to Avoid Hypothermia and Hyperthermia


Learning Competencies:
Observes personal safety protocol to avoid dehydration, overexertion, hypo-
and hyperthermia during MVPA participation.
