Why PAMAFERT Needs Re-Branding ?

As one of pioneer company in the fertilizer industry, PAMAFERT has contribute to offer fertilizing technology
as efficient by controlling all of the process from manufacturing process until final product. Even, some of
their products are exported to other countries. Hence, to maximize their capability in making profitable
products; PAMAFERT needs to Re-Branding their company based on several reasons which stated below :

1. Needs of customer have changed


As the time goes on, people does change preference in their behavior of purchasing product. The first
thing that need to be analyzed is current trend. In the agronomy Industry, as the economic growth is increasing
rapidly in the developing country which means Indonesia is one of the option would impact the expansion of
consumption in meat, fruits, vegetables, etc. where it also influence the need of using fertilizer. Besides that,
technology plays a key role in the business development in term of entering new market, maintaining online
purchasing, developing new business strategy to compete with competitors as well as to reduce cost of human
resource. The last thing to be considered is the taste of customer that will always emerged by the time. For
instance, currently people are more into eco-friendly movement which is why organic farming are in demand
and the need of organic fertilizer is also impacted.

2. Positioning your bargaining power


Most of PAMAFERT customers are only in the B2B area which it sets their limitation of enlarging
their product, whereas there are more potential market out there that needs their products. PAMAFERT already
has the bargaining power of being the pioneer in their field, however they need to expand their segmentation
if they want to get higher profit. If we could take an example, they could segment people who wants to start
farming but they still obscure of what kind of component that they need to start farming, thus PAMAFERT
could offer new packaging of their products by showing key elements/ nutrition facts or “how to farm” table
that could make people who enter the agronomy industry would know what they need to do to start farming.
Nevertheless, by entering B2C market, it would be very prospective for them.

3. Development of company identity


As it is affirmed in their vision and mission, PAMAFERT requires tools to represent their company
identity. Therefore, re-branding is needed which we as a content creator could help PAMAFERT to develop
new proposal, re-create existing website, creating new with different domain, making brochure and also design
new packaging for existing market and the new one.

Nevertheless, by Re-Branding this company; PAMAFERT could enhance their profit, number of product
purchased online and offline , search engine optimization, and so on.
