We will give him the steroid in the aFernoon at home. Depending on his symptoms we may change it to the
morning before school, however it will always be at home.

You are exactly right about trust. Unfortunately there was one year that Cooper didn’t feel he could trust his
teacher and it led to a lot of other issues for him. I am so grateful that you understand the importance of this.

Thanks again

Hi Kym,

I’m glad Fletcher feels he can trust me, I believe relaXonships are key and we need to go
from there. I can image for Fletcher aFer spending 3 weeks at home it’s hard for him to get
back into the rouXne of having to leave mum in the morning, hopefully as he gets back into
the rouXne it will become easier again.

Thank you for keeping me updated about the food, will the steroid be given at home or
when he’s eaXng?

Kind regards,

Hi Rebecca

I just wanted to let you know that Fletcher has had a great first week. Every day he has
come home telling us something new he has learnt – how to write a d, learning to tell the
Xme, counXng by 3s, how to make the ‘o’ a long sound in words like home by adding an ‘e’
on the end!

I know he has been a bit nervous in the mornings and I really appreciate the support you are
showing him. He feels like he can trust you and that is so important.

Just an update on the food front – the Paediatrician wanted us to try a daily steroid to see if
that it improves his symptoms while we try to vary his food choices. We may need to do a
food eliminaXon diet for him but first we need to expand his foods. We have started the
steroid this weekend so we will see how it goes.

Thanks again.
