A Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan in Physical Education

I. OBJECTIVE
At the end of the lesson, all of the students must be able to enumerate and
explain the different skill-related fitness components in one sentence.

II. SUBJECT MATTER


A. Topic: Skill-related fitness components
B. Materials: chart, pictures, strip of jumbled letters

D. Values Integration: For the students to develop self-awareness and
appreciation on skill-related fitness components

III. PROCEDURE
A. Routinary Activities
1. Prayer
2. Checking of Attendance
3. Collection of Assignment

B. Preparatory Activities
1. Drill
The teacher will flash pictures and let the students “say something
about this photo” and “What’s on your mind?”
2. Review
The teacher will flash strip of jumbled letters and let the students
arrange the letters in connection to their previous lesson which is
the basic steps of cha-cha-cha.

C. Developmental Activities
1. Motivation
The teacher will divide the class into two groups and play
“Message Relay”. The first group who will finish the task will be
given rewards.
2. Presentation
The teacher will ask the students about the activity earlier and let
the students guess the lesson.

3. Abstraction/Discussion
The teacher will discuss the skill-related fitness components.
4. Generalization
The teacher will present a mnemonic about the skill-related fitness
components to summarize the lesson and let the students define each
component.
5. Application
The teacher will divide the class into two. The groups will be given
2 minutes to have a brainstorming on their understanding about the
skill-related fitness components. The groups must choose three
representatives from their group and explain a brief understanding
about the lesson.

IV. EVALUATION
The teacher will let the students get ¼ sheet of paper and enumerate the
skill-related fitness components and explain each in one sentence only.

V. ASSIGNMENT
The teacher will let the students make a video presentation combining all
of the skill-related fitness components in one real life scenario.
