Heel
Strong Heel
The heel section is shaped by a series of increases and decreases
over a multiple of 2 plus 1 sts. Keep the increased sts in the 1x1 rib
pattern already established.

Working new stitch into ribbing pattern: You want to keep the
flow of the 1x1 ribbing. To do this the M1 sts will need to become
either a knit or a purl on the following rnd. The M1’s on the
first increase rnd will become knit sts. The M1’s on the next rnd
becomes a purl st, and so forth.

About the Designer
Born and raised on eastern Long
Island, NY, Erica Jackofsky grew up
surrounded by the arts— performing
(playing fiddle, flatfoot dancing, and
singing) and traveling around the
country with her family band, The
Homegrown String Band. During her
travels, Erica discovered knitting and crocheting and it wasn’t
long before the kid who fiddles to a different drummer was
accumulating a yarn stash and designing her own projects. In
early 2009 Erica established Fiddle Knits Designs and began to
focus her energies on designing and creating original patterns
inspired by music
