GREGORIA DE JESUS

 also known as Aling Oriang was the custodian of the documents and seal of the organization, founder and
Vice-President of the woman chapter of Katipunan.
 she joined the Katipunan adopting the name Lakambini ("noblewoman", also "goddess" or "muse") of the
organization.
 Started her revolutionary work at a very young age. As the wife of the Katipunan leader, she suffered
countless privations in the performance of the dangerous task which only women could do undetected by
the police.

MELCHORA AQUINO
 A Filipina Revolutionary who became known as Tandang Sora because of her age during the Philippine
Revolution.
 Played an important role in the Philippine Revolution as she provided medical care to the soldiers who
were fighting in war and her store served as a secret meeting place/
 Her name is the name of a district and a city road in Quezon City and her image can be seen on a 100
peso bill before after she returned at the age of 84 from an exile in Marianas Islands.

GREGORIA Y PATRICIO

 Occurred in Dalahican, Cavite, she was the only woman general who led a 30-man Magdalo unit against
the Spaniards int the Battle of Calero Bridge.
 Promoted as General by Emilio Aguinald though there are no documents to support this claim, this
Henerala was known to be the Maid of Orleans as she is one of the trusted generals of Aguinaldo.

AGUEDA KAHABAGAN
 She earned fame in the battle field of Laguna where she fought “ dressed in white, armed with a riffle and
a brandishing a bolo. The 1899 roster of generals listed her as the only woman general of the Philippine
Republic.

TRINIDAD TECSON
 Mother of Biak na Bato according to Aguinaldo, this woman help fought to gain independence from the
Spaniards.
 Popularly known as the Mother of the Philippine National Red Cross.
 Called as “Tangkad” by her peers, she joined the revolutionary forces led by Gen. Del Pilar and
participated in various assault of the Philippine provinces against the Spaniards.

TERESA MAGBANUA
 Known as the Joan of Arc of the Visayas for the valor she displayed in many battles.
 Earned the distinction as the only woman to lead combat troops in the Visayas against Spanish and
American Forces.
 Fifty years later after Spanish Rule in the country, her heroism was once again displayed when she helped
finance a guerilla resistance movement against the Japanese in Iloilo.

MARINA DIZON
 A native of Tondo, Manila was a heroine of the Philippine Revolution and became an active member of
the Katipunan who presides over initiation rites, kept records and taught members of the constitution and
teachings of the KKK.
