Goals of the HPTLC Association

 Promote the use of HPTLC in plant analysis and other analytical fields.

 Through collaborations, the Association aims to:

 Develop and validate common standards and methods for analysis of plants and their adulterants.

 Serve as the worldwide leading resource for information and training.

 Supports pharmacopoeias and similar organizations of individual countries or regions with expertise,
guidance, methods and validation data.

 Establish and maintain a “Global Atlas of HPTLC Methods for Identification of Herbal Drugs (Atlas)” as
a recognized reference tool for quality control.

 The Association publishes educational materials, issues guidelines, and contributes to

journals and organizes scientific meetings, educational and training events.
